I was just thinking....after I spoke with JoAnne (aka Hideaway Farmgirl)...on swaping some of my extra herbs with her extra Lemon Balm got me a thinkin'....We could have a swap group where we can swap our "bumper crops" of herbs. I don't have a graden but I get my herbs from a great place called Mountain Rose Herbs....even when I get 4 oz (the minimum amount they offer) it is too large of an amount for me at one time (unless it is mint).

We can even swap up recipies, etc for the many different ways to use herbs.

I would even be interested in swapping aromatherapy blends, if any of you farmgirls are into aromatherapy.

Would anyone be interested?

I am sure that many of us have lots of different herbs to share from their gardens or a wonderful herbal supplier.

Yes, let's place our wish lists here so we can keep track of who would like to have what...I will just be more of a swap moderator....vs. "organizing"....I was planning on us communicating w/ one another when we had herbs to swap and what we had.

Hmmm... my wish list would start out with White Yarrow flowers (colored yarrow flowers won't wrrk for tintures, apparently).

Then, I'd like to try some lavendar, chamomile, feverfew, horseradish and bergamot.
Also, garlic, if anyone has organic bulbs to trade. (I plan to order garlic from MaryJanes Farm when it's available later this year, but would still be interested in trying some from a fellow farmgirl.

I have available for trade:
Lemon Balm
Sage
Parsley (generally I freeze this, but I could pick it and ship it same day and it would arrive fresh for you).

Amy, are we supposed to peruse each other's wish lists here, then communicate directly with each other? Or will you be organizing these swaps?

I have some herbs to post after the 4th (leaving on 17th) that I would like to swap or barter for.
They are mostly medicinal.

Blessings,

I don't have any herbs or seeds to swap, but if anyone has tons of extras to give away, I would love to start an herb garden. Let me know... Thanks!

I am clearing out a bunch of bulk herbs that I just recently purchased with the intents of making lots of tea, but I possibly can't use all of these herbs. I have listed them over in the marketplace section.
I simply just want to try to recoup a little bit of what I spent on them.
If interested email me. I'm trying to really clear out things around here.(getting ready to get house on market..and I had all of these herbs needing a home.
thanks.TAKEN NOW/thanks

I also grow some of my herbs. I'd love to swap recipes, ideas, etc.

I love this idea!! I can't participate right now, since I don't have any herbs growing with moving and all. Maybe later this season after I get some started when I settle in after the move. But it really sounds fun!
