I have 2 reproduction dolls of Maynard Arnett's. The african-american male doll is"Rolla" and is numbered 15 out of 500. The african-american girl doll is " Goldie" and numbered 16 out of 500. They are like new and were a charished gift. I have not been able to establish a link to my home and the underground railroad so I feel a little funny owning the dolls as I do not otherwise collect dolls.

If anyone is intersted they are free to a good home.

Hello to Everyone! Happy New Year! Thanks to all who have posted to me, both here and at the Welcome Wagon! I've been really busy with Christmas just like everyone else and just haven't had much time to post. I've read your responses & what a thrill to meet so many! My husband and I are cleaning up the Christmas decorations and getting the house back to normal. As soon as that's complete I'll post some pictures on here of some of my dolls. I really like looking at country magazines to see how other folks decorate their country homes. One of my aspirations to be in one of them myself one day.

Have a Happy & Healthy New Year! May God richly bless each of your lives!

Terry

Hello Ladies - I found this topic doing a search for Maynard Arnett dolls and hate that I missed out on the two that Mari-dahlia gave away but they have gone to a good home at Aunt Jenny's. I collect Maynard Arnett and Sue Johnson dolls myself. I have about 45 of the Arnett's and about 75 of Sue's. My husband calls me The Baby Rescue service as I'm always looking for dolls. It's my dream to go to Arnett's Country Store just once! Their website is pretty good too. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year! Terry

They are reproductions so I'm not sure they would be interested, but even so I don't think I have a local museum that would have the subject matter. Thanks for the great idea though.

Jenny, I will send you the dolls, happily. I am not sure where we go from here though with information for mailing etc.

I would be very interested (LOVE DOLLS!) if you don't find a museum like Kim suggested. They sound wonderful!!

What a generous offer Marianne! Is there a local museum you could "loan" them to?
