Today I went to an antique store in town and bought a very cool old jar. I was tinking how perfect it would be for a whimsy jar swap. I wasn't able to get in on the first one, like some of you other farmgirls.

You would fill a QUART canning jar with little gifts related to your farmgirl partner's likes and hobbies ex: I like things that are lucky, polka dots, buddhas, magnets, crocheting, scrapbooking, embroidery, growing stuff, 50's housewives, turtles, herbs, flowers, cherries, oranges, strawberries, bright colors, dark chocolate, candles, old cheesey robots, wizard of oz

If you google whimsy jar you will see an example, also there some pics on a previous Whimsy Jar Swap string.

Please post here to sign up for the swap, DON'T FORGET TO POST LOTS OF YOUR LIKES! After assigning partners, I will let you contct eachother for addresses.

You must mail your Whimsy QUART jar to your partner by April 1st.
Sign up will end this coming week, noone has signed up in a few days, so we will have to wait for another farmgirl to sign up for an even number.

Swappers must live in the USA or Canada.

Here are partner :)

Trish, I am glad that it was well-recieved and hope that you will be feeling better soon. There are some very unpleasant viruses going around right now but let's hope that with spring and fresh air they will all literally go out the window!!
No hurry on mine, you know that whenever it comes I will be delighted with it!
Take care!
Angie.

Thanks so much Angie! I had company over when it arrived, and there were lots of oohs and ahs. The Newman's candy bar is my most fave kind :) I let my friends teenage sister have the little, pink, bible. How could I not? She's an orphan. I can't resist an orphan who loves Jesus.
I am currently super sick. I have not been sick like this for over two years. I hope the baby doesn't catch it, so think good thoughts for him. Anyway, it might be a little late, sorry.

I got it today in the mail! I have't opened the jar yet. First it's sitting there looking pretty. The little bucket is so cute! Lot's of decorations that I'll hang up in my kitchen, I am sure.

So far I have your jar (sissysquilts) and just a couple odds and ends...I'll make use of your box and packing materials. Re-cycle-re-use. I LOVE my whimsey jar and surprises to decorate it. !!! thanks so much!!

Hello gals,
Has anyone received their jar yet? I want to see pictures. I am just puting mine together now, and found that I have too much stuff to fit in it! I switched from small to wide mouth, and still, too much stuff, and I still have ideas for some more crafts to try and stuff in. I will most likely send it off next week, as I have to take a photo of one of the items for a merit badge.

I think so too. I decided to make a whimsy jar for my best friend too, who will be here for Easter, instead of an Easter basket. Se is taking the train from Portland, OR, and it will be easier to carry.
