if you'd like to be in a 'vintage doily swap' .. let me know .. and i'll match up partners. will only do this one on the mj connection (i usually invite all my 'kentucky ramblers' .. but time constraints will keep me from doing this one too long or too big .. soooo .. sign up HERE .. and i'll put your names in a basket for swaps.

mailing date will be no later than mid-november. (unless the two partners individually agree to a 'sooner' or 'later' date xo

Hey Frannie--
What time will you be a passin' through? I work in Covington, which is just before your cross into Ohio. I'm quite literally 3 minutes off the exit, and we can have lunch at the Greenup Cafe, Jean Robert's (think french) lovely lunch spot.

Keep me posted on your travel details and when you want to swap doilies--heck, we could do it then, over the sweet onion tart!!!

Bardstown: Sugarbuckets Antiques .. on FLAGET STREET .. go round 'courthouse square' .. up main street to the VERY FIRST light .. turn left .. she is about the third shoppe on the left.

your chicken painting sounds great .. so does your sign! post a photo!!!

is Elsmere near Florence? you are waaaaaaaaaay up there! i sent you an e-mail saying i'd be passing through that area on Friday, October 26th .. on my way to Toledo. (let's DO LUNCH!) .. The Traderbakers i go to is in LaGrange .. they have several GREAT prim booths .. i ALWAYS find treasures in there .. and soooooooooo reasonably priced too!

i'm not toooo crazy about most 'Peddlar's Malls' .. more junque that antiques .. but ya' never know! and the last time is topped at the one in Campbellsville .. oh my! i got 'wunnerfuls'!!! I have been to the one in Richmond .. they have a nice booth 'up front' .. but she doesn't seem to have as many 'antiques' as when i first went there. Actually, when in BEREA .. be sure to visit ... oh gosh! what's the name of it???? something like SOMETHNG OLDE .. it's on the road that leads from the Boone Tavern .. near the interstate! a few wonderful booths in there full of prims too. If you go .. ask for KAREN .. (she runs it) and tell her "Frannie sent me!" You will love SUE's booth .. to the right in front when you first come through the door!

Ask around. I have a link to his site that I can send, but I think it's bookmarked at work.
When we're next in Bardstown, I'll look for her shop--I can't think of the last one we went to there, but we bought an oil painting of a chicken (and hung it in the kitchen next to an old "For Sale: Fryers" sign!
I do love Berea, it's about 2 hours, give or take-this time, we took back roads and came down from the Winchester side, just because we could. We usually go about 4 times a year--I really love the KY Guild shows, though. So many neat people right here in our state doing incredible things!
Hey, did I read that you bought something at the Traders Mall recently? I shop the one in Georgetown and Richmond a lot. They're ALL over KY!!! So, cool!
Have a great time on your expedition tomorrow!

Hey Frannie, not to hijack this, but I wanted to ask if you knew of a Matthew Gaddes, Meadow Pottery, from Bardstown area? I met him on Saturday in Berea, at their Kentucky Guild member autumn show--nice,nice guy, and just built one of the largest kilns in the state, not associated with a university.

If you don't know him, I think you should get to, seein' he's from your stompin' grounds!
