Hi Ladies!
It looks like the first pillowcase swap is going great! I am so excited! So I have decided to host another one.
Depending on what everyone wants and how many people we get, lets anticipate doing 2 sets (four pillowcases total) but it might end up being one on one swapping.
I know it takes a while to sew these up, so lets have the dead line for this be the end of January. I know January can be a bit of a slower month after the holidays and the winter blues can set in- so lets liven up the last bit of winter with getting some wonderful pillow cases in the mail.
I will keep sign ups open. I am pretty flexible so if you join up but then have to back out, please just let me know so I can do some extra pillowcases in case we have an odd number of swappers.
Brain Flash! So here is what I am going to do. I am going to set this up in groups of two- so everyone is responsible for sewing/finding one set of embroidered pillowcases (One set equals a total of two pillowcases). So if you want to get and give more than one set- sign up multiple times.

Cheryl - Hi this is the first time I have gotten online in over a month...I am so sorry I have not gotten your pillowcase to you...I recieved the vintage ones you sent and they are wonderful! Thank you. I have your address and promise to get yours finished and in the mail very soon...I will send an extra gift : ) I appologize but my life has pretty much gone crazy!

Thank You Cheryl. I was feeling bad out the pillowcases as I was working on them, that maybe they looked kinda shabby. I had about a week there that I didn't even look at them prior to picking them back up and finishing the last one and when I looked at the finished one again I decided that maybe they werent so bad. I had to run them by someone else for their opinion though before sending them to you and she said "I would love to be your swap partner". I guess I am my own worst critic especially when I try something new. Now maybe I will make some of those for me!!

Becky, I received my pillowcases today. Thank you sooooo much!!! I love them! You did beautiful work!  I really enjoy doing these swaps. It is so great to received someone elses beautiful handiwork. Yes I recieved mine and they are beautiful, no perfect! I will post on blog maybe tomorrow for all the girls to see your hard work and great talent. I have finally finished yours and they will be mailed off on Monday morning. I have been a little too busy with work and have also had a stomach bug that wiped me "out" for 3 days. I recooped and hopped on that last case and finished them though. I hope you can use them.

You are too kind! Don't forget I am sending you a second set since the ones I sent you were a little spoltchy. I tried to dye them this beautiful buttery yellow color and I think my husband must have spilled a drop or two of bleach- because a few white spots appeared after I washed them.

Hi Partner! Yeah, still working on yours. I took it on vacation with me thinking that I would surely get them done, but I spent too much time looking out the window and not enough looking at my hoop :)! Your cases travelled about 3,000 miles through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Iowa. I won't promise to make the deadline, but they will get done. Sometime soon. Hopefully.... |
