Just posting this to see if there is any interest... My husband purchased a lot of vintage Ranger Rick Magazines, all in very good condition. He has picked out of the lot the ones he wants to keep for his nostalgic childhood reminder collection and there are quite a few for which we need to find new homes. If anyone is interested in a barter for these, let me know... I can post pictures and give more details (issue dates) if I get any interest.
incase you don't remember Ranger Rick magazines, they were wildlife magazines published for and geared towards children.
Thanks!

Hi Beth.
This issue sounds perfect! Yes, just send it to my attention at the farm.
Thanks so much!
Carol

Tina Michelle,
Thanks for the link, I had no idea these were still published, and it would make a cute Christmas present for hubby (feed his inner child!)

Wow, there are 36 magazines total in the lot. They range from the oldest from one 1974 issue, and a couple of months from 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and I think also 1982 (not positive about that one though - they're all in my basement and I'm doing this from memory). They are all in good to near mint physical condition. I do detect a slight musty odor when I hold them close to my face. I picked out one from 1979 with a cute squirrel on the cover which is in excellent condition (and I think would photograph well because it has a nice light/dark contrast) for Mary Janes Farm. Carol, should I send it to your attention or to someone else?

Thank you Beth!! I know it will make a cute, cute addition to our new book, and I'm sure you'll pick out the perfect one!! Can't wait to see it! I'll pick out something special for you from the farm, too, since it's a barter.

Thanks again!
Carol

Sure Carol, that sounds great!
I think there are between 30 - 35 of them (I haven't counted them, but I know there's quite a lot), so I doubt that Sarah would mind letting go of one of them! The only problem will be picking out the cutest one, as there are so many cute critters gracing those covers!

Hi girls.
I wonder if we could get just one of those magazines here at the farm? We're working on our new book at present, MaryJane's Outpost Guidebook, and a Ranger Rick magazine would lend itself to a great photo in one of the kids' sections of the book, don't you think? I'd forgotten all about those magazines, but I, too, loved them as a kid! Sarah, if you could give up just one, and Beth, if you could pick out one with a really cute cover, we would just love having it.
