I have some barters with couple people i would like to get finished up. Is there any problem ? i thought everyone loved their jewelry ?? -least they said so :( If you cant send the barter --it is fine --just please email me and let me know so i wont keep wondering. I understand things come up and all. I am not mad --just would like to know one way or another.

Lisa my hubby forgot to mail the box and we have been out of town so I missed the post today. He has PROMISED not to forget on monday!

So glad to hear that things are arriving! I tell you what, that tracking thing is the way to go. It has saved me more than once and the last time the framed artwork of my father we had at his memorial service. It would have broken my heart if it had been gone for good!

Just so you know Lisa, no one here would ever intentionally skip out on a swap....might take some time, as sometimes things happen, life happens etc...but no one ever intentionally skips out.

Lisa, I emailed you, I think we are having email issues. I still need your address, but your package is and has been ready and waiting since the fabric arrived.  I keep a barter book too :) I barter on several sites so i like to keep it all straight. And most post offices have an auto teller now that can be used 24 hrs a day. Also if you pay for your postage online with post office thru paypal and you get delivery confirmation free. Just print it and label out and tape to package. Post office will even send you free priority mail boxes AND will have a carrier pick your box up for free on the next mail run at your doorstep.

I also try to add a delivery confirmation stamp to all parcels going out on swaps and etsy sales now to make sure that the other party has indeed recieved the item from me.

I keep a to do list right in front of my computer by my mouse pad. On it ..if I am involved in swaps..I write down the name and address of the swap partner and what they are sending along with what I have to send in return. As the obligation is fulfilled I put a checkmark and the date and the words "Done". This helps me to keep on track.

I guess I should have made it clearer. I did email the person several times (very farmgirl nice and polite) and it was aways "packaged and was going to be mailed that day". Then finally one day she just stopped responding to my emails but was still on the forums asking to be in on other trades and swaps. So I felt confident that she was making a conscious decision to not respond and to not send the item.
Thanks Libbie for letting us know that we can email you if we do have problems. I would just hate to see several people get ripped off by one person if it could have been prevented. |

Yikes, I would prefer getting a friendly reminder email too, rather than finding my name on a bad farmgirl list! Reminded me to send a post to you Ronna...as I know that I still owe you a small something!
Anyway, I posted awhile back here on the forum about each of us keeps track of our farmgirl barter transactions? I got some good responses, so maybe it's just a matter of keeping organized.
Of course, now I can't find the thread anywhere; sheesh!

Out of curiosity... Is there a place to on the forum to document the people who don't hold up their end of a trade? Knock on wood but so far I have only had one person not send me their half of a trade. Lucky for me it was just a couple packages of seed we exchanged so it wasn't the end of the world. |

I sent you am email about my back-did you get it? I have yet to go to the post. I had hoped to yesterday but after the chiro I hurt a little worse (happens every time I go after not going for a time.)
