Bonne, I just came across your post about soaps! I have never participated in a trade before but your soaps really caught my interest. Love your website. I'll keep an eye out for any more soap trading in the future! I saw where someone traded you two dishclothes and a beautiful hanky. They were so pretty. I am retired from my custom drapery and bedding business so I can make lots of nice things for the home. I love making pillows, pillow cases,aprons,crochet small projects(dish cloths)Etc. Tracy |

The pattern is actually really simple -
I chain 26 stitches then turn and SC in the second chain from the end. Then SC all the way across (for a total of 25 stitches) then do chain stitches at the end of the row (one chain stitch for a SC row, 2 for a HDC row, 3 for a DC row.) Turn and go back the other direction.
Repeat, using either a SC, HDC or DC stitch (all the way across) for the rest of the rows, until it looks like a square, remembering to do the chains at the end of each row.
Finally I do a SC border all the way around. Sometimes I switch out colors, sometimes I alternate stitches to try to give it some texture. But it's a basic square. No fancy stitches at all. I used a G or H hook, I think... It should give you a square about 8-9 inches long, maybe, but I'm only guessing.
