Ok ladies I think it's time to have our own website, I know many of you have been having simular thoughts. I was already going to post all the art that I got on site own site but I think with the way this is growing we need our own site. So last night I talked to my husband (the brains behind many of my ideas) and we're going to do it, we'll host the site as a subdomain of our site. This is turning out to be such a big thing, it's so wonderful to be a part of it. I hear Mary Jane is thinking about featuring us in her next magazine, thats a pretty neat thing.
I plan to get started on designing and building the site right away. We were thinking eventually we will have a journal on the site so people could write in from time to time and share their thoughts about making and receiving the mail art.
So please any questions, comments and ideas feel free to email me or post here.
Oh and check out our new site for the Artian's Web. It's finally up and running and waiting for more people to join up. Just ckick on the link below the Sqrl&Bee. Unfortunitly if you have an old monitor like the one I have at work than it won't look nearly as good as it should. But oh well check it out anyway.

I'm a little discombobulated (not sure of the spelling or if it's even a word ), but I just received THE book/journal and it is FAB! I'm up to my elbows (and everyplace else) with paint trying to get my house ready to sell. I will do my best to get the book out quickly to the next person, perhaps with a swoosh of paint so you can see the color . But first, I get to read it!!! Thank you jpbluesky, it arrived safe and sound!
Hope this is the right section to "report" this.

Kim-did you get an email from Kay? She has a link in it that allowed me to get on, instead of going there from this site. If you did not receive one, email Kay and ask her for it. That may help! I hope you can find a way - perhaps just trying again later...it may be getting a lot of visits right now!

WONDERFUL website, Melissa!! Good job! Can't wait to see it grow!

I have one minor suggestion: where you describe our group, it really is "around the world", not just our country, isn't it?

I'll have to see if I can get my scanner hooked up and working (it was given to me)... and then I'll share some of the mailart that I've received.

Good work, girl!

OK ladies here it is, it's offical we now have our very own website. We are a few days behind schedule I wanted to have it up before the first August birthday but the web gods did not allow it to be that way. We were very anxious to get it up so there are a few things missing, two things to be exact one is the links page has no links and the other is in the new letter there will be a section called "From the Pantry" which will feature a few of our fav recipes, it just didn't make it up, it will be there by the weekend.
Now lets talk about this "links" page. I want to explain what I am looking for, all of you who have your own personal website and would like to link to the sisterhood site please email me and I will put a link up to your site. So let me know, we will of course also link to MJF.
About "From the Pantry" please email me with your fav. recipes, I will be changing recipes every month or twice a month.
Also there is the "Sisterhood Stories" all those who have a bee in your bonnet for writting, just itching to do it but have no reason, this is the place to get your stories published. The more stories the better, they can be long, short or somewhere in the middle they can even anonymous if your feeling shy. They can be about almost anything in and surrounding the life of a sister, farmgirl, woman. I know there are at least a few of you gals out there who write such beautiful stories 'cause I have read them throughout the forum. So get wirttin'
I think thats it for now, go check it out -- www.sisterhood.sqrlbee.com

A little update about the website.
It's coming along real well. I hope to have the site up by the 14th of August because we will be featuring monthly birthdays and our first August birthday is on the 14th. Don't want to leave anyone out, so if you haven't given Kay your birthday, I would do so or your b-day won't be announced. The journal was sent out on Monday August 1, I started at the top of the list because with the amount of people being adding all the time we will never reach around back to the top. So the first stop is Mary Janes Farm since she first on the list. There are general giude lines in the book so you'll know what to do when you get it. Just follow your heart there are no limitations for this book and you don't have to confined yourself to just one page, if the the book fills up too soon we'll make another and start where the first book ends. So go wild!
Now back to the website. Sue(blueeggbade) is writting our monthly newsletter, thank you Sue. Oh and the journals journry will be posted on the site as long as you gals email me when you get the book. And most important there will be a gallery. So anyone who has a scanner or a digital camera, take pictures or scan the art you receive and email the pictures to me so I can post as many as possible, to show off all this wonderful art going around the globe. In the newsletter there wil be a section called "From the Pantry" where we will share our recipes, we are looking to you gals for donations. Send me your recipes. Also there will be a links page that will have links everyones personal websites and of MJF site. Thats it for now. I'll keep ya posted!

Good morning farmgirls! Carol is recovering from eye surgery for a detached retina, and in true blue farmgirl style she just HAD to come out to the farm yesterday for a few hours. She is soooo excited to see the Mail Art that has come to the farm. She will start to post photos as she did for Farm Fair as soon as possible, so you can all see these gorgeous works of art! So many farmgirls ~ so many varied creative talents bursting forth onto the palette! Carol will also jury and pick through for those to be galleried in future magazine issues. MaryJane and Carol, being publishers extraordinaire, see huge potential for graphic design possibilities amongst these talented farmgirls at heart.
