Hi Ladies-

So Yesterday when I was out at the dairy, I realized that there was only a single stack of printed milk bottles. I asked Karen about them and she said they never printed on their own milk bottles so any printed ones were from other dairies as they closed. So I bought all that she had which was only 20. Since she didn't have as many as the clear ones, I had to pay more for them. But I knew some of you ladies might like the printed ones.

So if you would like printed bottles, please let me know.

These are just a sample of some of the printed ones. I can't say what colors or patterns we will find as we go through the bottles. I will do my best to fill any requests, but some are one of a kind. Thanks!

I am selling them for $6 a piece. I have red, blue, and green printing. I really love these.
Thanks!

Alee

Kathie-

You have a third box coming too! Don't forget about that! LOL :) I am so glad nothing broke! It still makes me nervous to send the bottles with the crates! But so far everything has been good.

I could easily get you those quarts. That's only 4-5 boxes, I've got room to bring them to you. :) They won't have rings, but you only need rings on the jars for the first 24 hrs. of canning anyway, just to set the seal.

Boy are you ever ambitious! The store will be open tomorrow, so if you want 52 quarts, let me know and consider it done. :)

We make a difference.

Michelle- You know how I love canning jars! Yes please! I want to can enough tomato sauce to last a year- I am hoping 52 quarts will be enough- what do you think? And how much space is that going to take up! LOL

Alee, you are just brilliant! I'm going to have to come out to the market Sat. and get some of your milk bath! The thrift shop here has pint (and quarts of course) canning jars, want me to bring you some?

We make a difference.

Hey Alee,

The Milk Bath soaks just seemed to go with a "milk" bottle

And I knew from what you have said that you have a motherlode of these dairy bottles that you can get your hands on.

Would enjoy hearing how it evolves for you

Hi Stephanie-

I am putting my Silky Bath Soaks in the Pint and Quart sizes. I might end up putting scented bath salts in the half gallons and then I seal the top with parafin wax like you use for canning. Thanks for the ideas!

Alee - sounds like an idea you could market - the more funky and country the better. Those kinda things sell for BIG bucks in the right market (like the Bellevue/Redmond area)

Hey Alee,

These look like ½ gallon sizes?? I've got 5 left of the 1 gallon sizes with the red or white handle and different dairy names on them...

I know you are gonna LYAO probably BUT how about using those ½ gallon sized milk bottles for your "Milk Bath Soaks" and you could could fill them with different amounts so you'd have different price ranges.

You could close the tops by making little "caps" from circles of oil cloth or tablecloth vinyl and put a drawstring or a piece of elastic through the casing so they would stretch over the top..you could do that by hand or machine...

Then add your unique hang tag from the bottle...I know you have it in the pint bottles so this would give a personal size and a large size.

Just add the price of the bottle to the product price..The person gets "Milk Bath soak" plus a vintage bottle!

Ok, now you can tell me I'm crazy I would do it though!

Oh I am so glad they got there safe and sound and that your daughters will enjoy the prisms. I hope that square of flannel is enough to do a pillow front or something with.

Hugs!

Kathie-

Yes I got your check- Thank you! Your bottles are on their way as well.

Nance- I got your check today- your bottles will be on their way Wednesday as I need to go pick up a few more and the dairy owner can't meet with me on Monday.

Kat- The milk crates hold 6 half gallon sized bottles and are $15. If you could email me (by clicking on my name on the left hand side of the screen) your zip code, I can estimate shipping for you. Would you like 4 or 6 bottles and in what size? Half Gallons? And if you want half gallons, do you want plain or printed?

Oh yes- And Sunshine- I found a bottle with your name on it- Literally :) So I hope you like them.

Hi Alee,

Sunshine-

Sunshine: Yes, it came in the mail a day ago and I am going to be mailing your bottles today. Infact I am mailing bottles to 5 people today! :) Thank you very much!

So to all who have sent payment I will be mailing your bottles today. The dairy owner had some other obligations this week so today was the first day we could meet at the dairy to pick up bottles.

Karen (the dairy owner) and I want to thank you all very much. I know it seems like a little thing- but it really does help them.

Due to a miscommunication, a milk bottle order got placed right before the dairy closed, so there are literally unopened boxes of bottles out there! So this poor family has had this financial burden of these milk bottles that they ordered and never were able to use, plus the money already invested in to the dairy since 2001 when it closed. So each bottle that I can help her sell helps.

Thanks!

I will email you all tracking numbers as soon as I have them tonight :)
