Posted - Jun 30 2007 : 07:48:41 AM Here is the other quilt top that my Grandma has. It looks like it was sewn on a sewing machine, some of the material looks like it's from the 40's and some looks a lot older, so it is a scrap quilt. It is 86" x 86". It is stained lightly in some places (on the white border) but should be able to be washed up. My Grandma said that this was not sewn correctly exactly as some of the points do not meet up - you could either redo this or maybe the points not matching doesn't matter to you. Shipping should be $4-$5. NOTE: This is from a smoking home and will have a smokey smell since I will leave the washing up to the buyer. With a good air out and washing it should be just fine. I will start the bidding at $5 and the bidding ends on Monday, July 2nd, at noon central time. Please e-mail me with your bids and I will update this board as the bids come in!! Any questions?

Posted - Jul 02 2007 : 11:03:10 AM ....and am I excited about it. I've wanted a vintage quilt forever!! My family has zero history of handwork. I don't have a stitch of anything except one doily and my great grandma's nightgown (which was handsewn and crocheted, but I don't know if it was by her or not). So this will be my "heirloom" quilt, made my somebody's grandma, even though it wasn't mine! Now to put together the quilting frame so I can finish it over the summer!
