Still cleaning out the closet....major project! I purchased some great fabrics awhile ago for scrap/crafts and um...never did anything with them (does anyone sense a pattern with me???), but they're great fabrics, all of them, and could makes some lovely pillows, bags, crazy quilts, etc...one of the pieces was $150 per yard, made in Egypt, and has scarabs, camels, palms etc...it's a tapestry and just gorgeous...I think it's the 4th from left on top row:

I'd be glad to box these up and send them to YOU! They have been inside a linen closet, which is nice and dark, so there's no fading or discoloration.

I really don't want anything in return....just some space

Oh! I feel so bad that they are gone, however, I DO have more (some very similar) hanging around. I'm a horder, so I will look through the closet tonight again, and see what I can come up with to share with you girls.

I typically gravitate towards tapestrys and rich hued fabrics, so if that's a turnoff, that's probably what I have to offer

My girls are drooling, so I thought I would ask if they are gone already, if you need a home for any others...

Jonni,

If you find other fabrics that you are interested in finding a new home for, I would be interested in a piece. The one with the camels or similar would be great. I'm looking to make a knitting bag.
I always have goodies stashed away and also do some photo restoration, so if you would like to swap. Let me know.

I really have nothing to trade, I have fresh eggs, if you are this way. I am a Mary Kay consultant and I can send you some product. Marie just picks up fabric where she can and I saw it and thought it would work for her. Just thought it would work for her quilts for the children at the childrens home. How much do you want for the valances??

thanks

Hi Jonni,

My name is Joni...I saw that after your material caught my eye. I have a dear friend Marie Sewell and she makes quilts by hand for the childrens home. She and her friend Chris save soda cans and hit yardsales and buy a lot of material. If your material has not found a home I know they could use it for their quilting. They made them all year though. Marie is teaching me how to quilt... I am excited to be learning. Quilting will be good to do when the winter sets in here in the upper cumberlands. If you want Maries phone number or her address I can give it to you and you can mail her what you want to. she is simply an amazing farmgirl at 65. She and I are best friends since I move here a year ago.

Have a wonderful day
