Posted - May 25 2007 : 10:41:37 AM This Auction Ends 7/27 at 9am PST (forum Time)
I am going to be offering these items at the Moscow Farmer's Market (the ones that don't get bought through the Auction) so if you see something you like- please feel free to offer on it because this will be the last time you see these particular items here!
Remember- Please email me with the offers instead of replying to the topic with the offers. Also, more views of each item (close ups and such) are on my photobucket account here : http://s177.photobucket.com/albums/w202/Onixica/Vintage%20Fabrics/
If there are sections of the piece that aren't shown here or on my photobucket page, please email me and I will take more pictures.
A good Question came up. Are you restricted to one bid? Nope! Feel free to enter as many bids as you want! If you see your original bid gets out done, please email me again! Unless the item's description has a reserve price listed- please feel free to make any offer that you think is fair! If a reserve price is listed, I can't sell it for less than the reserve price
Item 49
This is a beautiful delicate little hankie that says "Souvenir of France" on it in embroidery. You can see through the hankie, but it is nice and sturdy. The colors are bright and there does not apprear to be any wear, snags or stains on it. Offer-$10.00
Item 50
This is a great piece with gold metallic lace around the outside. From outer corner to outer corner, the piece is 22x23.5 inches. From the blue satin edge to blue satin edge it is 16x16.5 inches. There does not appear to be any wear, staining or ripping on this piece. It is in great condition. I think it is supposed to go over a pillow because the back is open on the bottom. Offer-$15
Item 51
This is an unfinished piece of embroidery on a creamy satin. The rest of the embroidery pattern is sketched in, just waiting to be finished. It is 20x27 inches. The edges are not finished so there is a little fraying, but it does not affect the structural integrity of the piece. There are two minor stains towards the bottom that are a pale pink in color. I think they might wash out or wash to the point where you wouldn't really be able to see them. Offer-$3.00
Item 52
This is a nice little table runner. It is 11.5x 33 inches. It has various scenes on it including a horse and buggy, ships sailing, and women walking. It even has a farmer and a farmgirl! Very Cute and very country! Offer-
Item 53
I think this was used to hold nylons or some such lingerie. It has a snap clasp and when opened it lays flat. There are two flaps (like the top of a cardboard box) inside. The hard parts are fabric covered cardboard and the flexible parts are made out of gathered satin. It measures 8x14 when closed. Offer-
Item 54
This is an assortment of quilt squares. They are all in great condition. Offer-
Item 55
This is a pair of matching doilies. They have the same pansy flower pattern on the outside but have different patterns for the inside. The work is beautiful and very finely done. The smaller of the two does have two stains on it, but I think they will wash out just fine. The smaller measures 8.5 inches across and the larger one is almost 11 inches across. Offer-$15
Item 56
This piece measures almost 11 inches across. It is all hand embroidered including the scalloped edge. The red is rich and vibrant. There are a few minor wear spots in the scalloped edge, but overall the piece is in great condition. Offer-$3
Item 57
This piece measures 14 inches across. The green that you see is beads that are crocheted into the piece! It is in amazing condition and I don't see any stains. I think it is a great piece. Offer-$5
Item 58
Here are some antique buttons that will come in that cute box that is at the top of the picture. There are some military looking buttons, some that have a leaf inside a concave button "shell" and many more. They all have some fun or interesting little detail on them. Offer-$6.00
Item 59
I recommend going to the photobucket site to see these two doilies in a bigger picture. They are absolutly fabulous! They are tatted doilies! They are both roughtly 7.75 inches across. They are very beautiful and the tatting is great! Offer-
Item 60
Another box of fun buttons! These are mostly shiny buttons. Offer-$6.00
Item 61
I love this hankie! It is so delicate and feminine. It is a beautiful mint green with 5 decorative round fabric pieces on it. They look like yo-yo's but they are only rounds. The fringy look on the outer rings of the fabric is loops of the fabric pulled out. It creates a rainbow effect on the outside of the fabric. It is amazing! Offer-$3
Item 62
And the final piece offered for this auction is a small apron! The top measures in at 14 inches and at the widest it flares out to 19 inches. It has some beautiful embroidery and lace. It does have a few spots on it, but I think they will wash out just fine. I think it looks like something someone would wear after they had finished cooking dinner and were about ready to serve it to dinner guests. It is very pretty! Offer-$3 |

Posted - Aug 09 2007 : 07:07:47 AM My package with the vintage fans came yesterday. They're really beautiful. So delicate...can picture a lady fanning herself with one many years ago. The oldest, hand painted on silk with lace trim is very fragile, so will be very careful with displaying it for just a bit, away from sunlight. Thanks Alee, for the time to do the auctions. Ronna |

Posted - Jun 27 2007 : 11:09:21 AM Nancy-
We were thinking of encluding the collage supplies with each collage- so whoever buys them can make their own! I have one of those white boxes that printer paper comes in completely stuffed with collage supplies. So I will divide it evenly between the two collages. There are tons of fun things to make collages with. Little trinkets, cards, lace, ribbons, old postage stamps (each of which I have seen being sold on Ebay for $7-$10 or more a piece!!)
Everything that is listed on that first post is still for sale. A few of them have bids on them (that I have posted). But please feel free to bid if you see something you like!

Posted - Jun 19 2007 : 05:08:46 AM Mine arrived yesterday as well and the quilt squares are so pretty. The veil is lovely and is hanging by my desk in the craft room. I haven't the heart to dismantle it as I originally had planned. Thanks so much, Alee and MaryJane, for giving us the opportunity to be a part of their history.

Posted - Jun 18 2007 : 9:24:17 PM My winning box came today and the quilt squares and small quilt are even more beautiful than I imagined. The colors and stiching are so nicely done. I feel so honored to be the new owner of these pieces of history. Have to decide the best use for them that will not cause any further deterioration of the fragile fabrics. Some one spent many hours embroidering and sewing them and never put them together, what a shame...but then, if they had, they might have been destroyed over time. I can hardly wait to see what else Alee allows us to bid on when she gets back to Moscow. Ronna |

Posted - Jun 14 2007 : 9:13:27 PM Hi Sunshine-
Thats okay. It is really sad because she was a wonderful lady. Always lots of fun to be around, but sometimes these things are a mercy, and in this case it ended up being the case. Thanks for the sympathy! You are very kind.

Posted - Jun 14 2007 : 7:40:25 PM Hi Sunshine!
I am going to post more things as soon as I get home from my trip to Wyoming. I had to take a trip to attend a Memorial Service for my Great Aunt who passed away in February and do some wedding planning. Anyway, I was concerned about running an auction long distance in case people wanted measurements or more details. So look for things to be posted around the 25th or 26th!
Thanks so much for your interest!

Posted - Jun 01 2007 : 10:01:30 PM i have TONS of linens and laces and 'prissies' Frannie, I do too, but doesn't stop me from buying more. Some things you can never have too much of, IMHO :) I see it, I want it, I buy it, very simple! Thankfully, at this stage of my life, I'm working for fun and play money and not having to put the food on the table and keep the utilities and rent paid. Ronna |

Posted - Jun 01 2007 : 11:29:52 AM everything is so pretty! i have TONS of linens and laces and 'prissies' .. so i don't often add to that collection (unless of course, i am somewhere and it is soooooooooo reasonable that i just can't pass it up. (i got almost a dozen victorian pantaloons and petti-slips while in ohio last week .. that i will use to make 'dolly aprons', underoos and such with.
it would be fun to see what everyone does with their auction treasures.
