UPDATED: The mailing deadline for the first batch of folks is June 23rd. Those that joined later have decided upon their own deadlines with their partners.

Original message:
Due to the success of the first swap, I have been asked to start a second doll swap.

Pics of the first swap are located here... http://dollswap.homestead.com/index.html

The first round of partners have already been sent out, but we are keeping this list open in case anyone else wants to join in. There is NO DEADLINE FOR SIGNING UP now, and you can swap with as many folks as you want, provided you follow through and meet any negotiated deadlines.

This is how it will work - if you want to swap a doll, just make a post saying so. We'll ask if anyone else wants in, or if anyone who is already involved wants to make another doll. Then we'll match you up with someone, or you can match yourselves up - just let me know who is partnered with whom. Deadlines are yours to negotiate with your partner, as is what types of dolls to make. I'll try to keep track of everything!

This swap is open to ALL Farm Girls AND their families, in case there are kids home for the summer who'd like to participate. If a younger farm girl or boy is participating, please post their age (or an age range preferred for a partner)... In cases of children, I can act as a go-between between the parent and their partners if you wish.

yes, she is going crazy, but I think she is happy you are running slow also...she was a wreck the week of the actual due date, knowing she was not done, and she also was trying to complete fair projects...very fun crafty summer so far!

I am glad you are cool with it, I figured you would be!!

Now, if I could just hear from my other partners...Rachel and Freckled Niki where are you?
Bluewrenn Posted - Jul 22 2007 : 06:52:28 AM
Everyone, please send me pics when you get a chance and I'll add them to the doll page... we have a little page where you can view what everyone made... (if you send them, please send in a jpg format, reduced if you know how, and send to: eomeara_smith@hotmail.com.)

Jess, I'm working on Carmen's main doll this weekend - she's got a body but no head yet! And she'll probably need some clothes too! So a week or so is fine with me... no hurry, although I imagine Carmen is going crazy with anticipation...

My little girl doll arrived from Idaho today. Jodi sent me the cutest little girl and she had her own little quilt blanket. She was dressed in her Sunday best and her light brown hair was pulled up in pony tails on each side of her head. She is absolutely adorable.
I will attempt to place a photo of her so you can all see. Just give me a day or two.
Thank you Jodi. She was worth the wait.

As long as everyone lets their partners know that their packages will be late, I think it'll be okay to take some extra time. If anyone has a problem, please contact me.

I think I have let most of our partners know that we are all running behind on these dolls, and we hope to have them all out by the 1st of July. I hope you are all okay with this. Hope you like them when you get them, and we are looking forward to all of yours!! Jess, and all the kids!

I'll see if I can get a pic of my new dollie to post, but I'll have to bug a friend who has a digital camera. :) I'm sending yours tomorrow morning, Linda. Sorry I didn't make the deadline, I've been behind schedule with everything -- I've moved, so life is kinda crazy right now. But she's finished and nearly on her way!

Blessings,

Jodi

no, actually crocheting is a release for me and helps me relax while watching tv. If not, I'm too hyped to sleep. I get insomnia a lot. LOL
