It's been so cold that the tips of my fingers get dry and crack. It's painful to type with them. I even get cracks on my heels. My lotions don't help, so I'll try Vaseline. Does anyone have any other solution?

It’s so amazing. I really like the Cetaphil cream too. Costco has that and it very reasonably priced.

Karen, I started using it when my youngest was a baby. His skin was so dry and that is what the doctor recommended I use. I noticed how wonderful my hands felt after putting it on him all the time. Now it just stays in our home permanently.

Krista, I second the Cera-Ve! The cream keeps my hands moisturized for a long time! :)

My Husband and I use O'Keefe's. It works well for us.

My husband loves O'keeffe's Working Hands and I love CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, but my Mother-in-law just told me she uses menthol on her deep cracks around her fingers. I haven't tried it yet, but figured I could pass on the info.

I use silver serum cream. My hubby had that problem. Healed in about 2 days. I get it from https://store.drlivingood.com/

Unfortunately it is sold out right now. It's the only cream I use now.

Vanessa, I will second Debbie’s recommendation of O’Keefe’s which seems to work well. I have eczema so I have found that when dealing with cracking skin from dry weather and over washing, it definitely helps to soak my hands , give them a scrub with some sugar to remove dead skin, then cover them with a lotion containing dimethicone. I feel like I have tried every natural product possible, but nothing provides the skin barrier that the dimethicone does. If you come across a lotion with that ingredient as one of the top few, it will definitely help protect your skin! To take it a step further, you can either wrap your hands or feet in plastic wrap to help the lotion absorb, or try a pair of cotton gloves (usually best suited to when you are getting into bed at night!). Good luck!

Home remedy, dip fingertips in mild solution of 5% white vinegar & water, dry, and rub in extra virgin olive oil. The vinegar will adjust the ph of the skin and the olive oil will help heal the skin.

Vanessa try Udderly Smooth Hand location. I lived in Colorado for 23 years before I moved to Oregon. This is what I found that helped my fingertips the best. Also O’Keefes Working Hands lotion is excellent too. Good Luck
