Struck like a bolt of lightning-Ambulance/ER/Overnight stay at hospital and the conclusion NOT a stroke but more than likely BPPV (Vertigo)

Anyone else on the forum who suffers with this horrific malady to share coping skills and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much ladies.

my husband just had a round of vertigo. Not too bad, but I did take him to urgent care. They gave him some nausea pills, and he had some head exercises to do. Supposed to help get the crystals back in place. Hope your feeling better.

From time to time I have a light bout of vertigo related to MS. It's not as severe as what you all experience. I deal with it my staying quiet. It usually passes in an hour or two but leaves me weak for rest of the day and maybe into the next day.

I have a vasculitis condition called Temporal Arteritis. The initial blowout I had in 2015 left me with permanent vertigo . . . ain't no fun, I'm telling you. But you learn to cope. Sure hope yours is only temporary. I'm sure they will recommend physical therapy for you.

I had a couple bouts of it. I'd have to hang on to furniture or walls!
The doctors gave me pills to help (I've taken them once or twice) and I began adding extra pillows so I wouldn't lay flat, which made me dizzy.
