The oil helps but also homeopathic meds have helped my eldest dd alot! The other thing that helped her was infared light (much easier to find and cheaper in Europe) both of which were prescribed by a German naturopath.

I have also used the half vinegar and half alcohol to dry my ears out when I was having fungal ear infections (swimmmers ear). Warm sweet oil helps the pain of either type of ear infection. You can get a small bottle of sweet oil in the earwax removal area of walmart which is usually next to the eyedrops. Even a warm hand held hairdryer helps the pain. Just be careful you dont burn yourself. If it is infection of the inner ear then you probably will need an antibiotic to get rid of it. Dont hesitate to have it looked at because you dont want a ruptured ear drum like I did when I was 5. Very painful and you can lose some of your hearing.

An ear nose and throat doctor told me to flush my ears with half
alcohol (TO DRY OUT THE EAR) AND HALF VINEGAR (TO FIGHT FUNGUS) at the first sign of an ear ache. IT DOES WORK. GARLIC infused oil fights ear infections that are fungal or bacterial.
I have used both these methods and they both work.

Warm garlic and or mullein oil is great for earaches.

Melanie -- my grandma used to warm "sweet oil" in a teaspoon and drop in my ear. Then she'd put a piece of cotton in it. I'm sure that sweet oil is probably sweet almond oil. You could also have an earache because your eustacian tube is plugged. Try this on your sinuses -- put a washcloth in the hottest water you can stand then lay across your sinuses for up to 3 minutes. Follow by a cold compress for 30 seconds. Repeat this 3 times and end with the cold compress. This will help open your sinuses and increase the blood flow to that area. Earaches are miserable -- hope yours gets better.

same things I do both alcohol and hydrogen on mine and my kids earaches. WE also keep cotton in them as cold air hurts them. Also don't take baths or swim if your ears will be under water it makes it worse.

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe my blog http://sunshinescreations.blogspot.com

I put hydrogen peroxide in my ears at the first sign of pain and it has helped. Some people use alcohol too. The other thing that seems to help is running warm air (hair dryer)over the outside of your ear but NOT into the ear. Don't know what others do, but that always works for us. I hope it stops hurting soon, that's no fun.

with a happy heart
