I was called by the local WIC office today, as I do some breastfeeding and babywearing mentoring with them and some of their clients. There is a local mom who doe snot have a lot of funds. Her babe has allergies to every disposable diaper on the market. I am the ONLY person the WIC people know who cloth dipes a babe. They have asked me to make some for her and I am going to, free of charge, but I also told them I would put a call out to other mamas who have used cloth dipes.
Do any of you want to sew some up or donate the ones you are no longer using? I am not sure the weight or age of the babe, The WIC worker is going to call me back tomorrow after she meets with the Mama. I just thought I would put a call out right away. I am going to go thrifting this weekend and pick up a few wool sweaters to felt to make some covers for her. I have fleece and flannel to make the dipes already.

If you have old flannel sheets or flannel shirts or wool sweaters you would be willing to part with, I'll take those too to make the dipes and covers for her....

I don't have cloth diapers but if she is in need of anything else, let me know. I just might still have it and I would love to donate it to her!!! |
