Mold can be anywhere. Get a test kit to test your home if you can. We did not, and found it under bathroom tile - a ton of black mold. This was right after I got very sick one year.

Thanks for your advise, I'm not sure where I picked this up, I need to do some investigating but if it is here at home then yes the pro's can handle it!

You can become extremely ill from mold. We had it in the air ducts of our heat and air conditioning unit. I became quite sick from it. We had to have all the duct work cleaned and sanitized. We were able to do it ourselves but if you are not sure what to do or how to do it, it is best to have it done professionally. Mold can cause a myriad of problems so don't wait to get it taken care of.

Hi...yes, Janet is correct. It is very dangerous living in a home that has mold (there are several kinds). You can get your home tested for mold. Mold is very dangerous and can cause one to become extremely ill. Our friends lived in a home that had mold growing on the inside walls. They live in the moist area of New Orleans. They would cough and cough and felt so weak and ill for months. Whenever they would visit our west they would get better and then go home and get sick again. Turns out they both had a very dangerous mold exposure. They ended up moving and had to throw out all their furniture because the mold spores were completely in the fabrics. Test your home for mold (it may be worth every cent). If your home is clear, then you know it is in the outside environment and you are allergic to the mold in the area you live in. There are allergy tests to see which molds you are allergic to. Be aware if you are allergic to penicillin hence if you are do not eat Blue Cheeses and some others that are penicillin based. Best to you! Annie

I had blood tests for allergies that showed up that I had a lot of mold in my system and was extremely allergic to 2 kinds of mold. Normal range for both were less that 35, mine in my bloodstream was 1648 and 1634!!! I have had a lot of lung problems and put on a lot of steroids and other drugs for it, and in the hospital at least 6 times a year. Since then, I have moved out of the place I was living and I improved tremendously. It was from all the mold in that old building I was living in. I could have killed me, for sure. Get it checked out!!!! Very dangerous.
