just found this sorry for the delay, I do hope your brother is doing okay. I also have to just begun using a product like this, I was told that another very good product to use is Carnation Instant Breakfast with whole milk. check the ingredients on both these products and they are identical. Cost wise the breakfast is much cheaper, tastes fresher to me, and of course assuming no lactose intol. problems you would want to use an organic milk. It's easier to find coupons for Carnation also. I do hope he is doing well.

So sorry. There are many people that are ill and needing help. What is a amazing how much knowledge is shared on forums. I can not, but my heart is warmed when others share freely their insight and wisdom. Sending your brother prayers.

Good morning, Judy -

I tried to maneuver around the Abbot website for you, to see if they had any type of supply program for patients, but I couldn't find anything directly on their site. I did, however, find this link for you concerning Abbott's Ensure Drink Patient Assistance Program, which includes a link where you can print out the program information and a printable application form! YAY! https://www.rxhope.com/pap/info/paplist.aspx?drugid=4271&fieldtype=drugid Both on the site and on the form, you'll find a phone number to call so you can speak to someone directly for more assistance. Since the form requires so much personal information (of course!), it might be a good idea to call first before submitting the form, just to be safe. Having said that, though, it does look like it might help - I hope so! I really hope so!!!

Here is a link to the Ensure website, too, where you can at least obtain coupons for the Ensure: http://ensure.com/coupons-samples-promotions . Also, if you sign up for their newsletter, they will afford you 15% savings. Not sure how that works, exactly, but 15% is 15%, right? :)

I also did a little more research for you online. Here is a little link that gives you some information that might help a little: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_there_a_free_source_of_Ensure_nutritional_drink_for_cancer_patients

Here is another link for Ensure coupons and a free Ensure shake sample... http://www.giveusfreestuff.com/tag/Ensure/ Maybe your circle of nearby friends and family can each request the sample and coupons to help! If you do an online search for "free Ensure," or "free Ensure coupons" you will find a whole host of coupon sites. I do realize that the coupons don't cover 100%, but hopefully it will help a little.

I'm so sorry I didn't do this for you last night, Judy - it was just getting late and I was tired and it didn't even occur to me at the time. I really, really hope that this information will help your brother out, and help bring you peace of mind. When people are suffering, the last thing they should have to worry about is this kind of thing.

Still praying! God bless you both! :)

Much love,

Nini

Judy - First, I am just so sorry for your brother's suffering. He is definitely in my prayers. You are, too. God love, bless and protect you both and your loved ones! Have you contacted the American Cancer Society concerning his needs? Even if they do not have a program to help in your area, they usually DO know of other agencies that can help. Also, if you visit them at www.cancer.org , you should be able to find help listed in your area. As a matter of fact, here is the direct link for finding support where you live: http://www.cancer.org/treatment/supportprogramsservices/index . I would also give them a phone call to ask for some direction. ALSO, you can check with the company that provides the feeding tube - they may know of entities that will help pay for the expense. And finally, our local Hospital has a trust fund specifically to help patients in need like this, so you may want to contact hospitals in his area.

Oh, dear one, I wish I could make this easier for you. I'm so sorry he is so sick and suffering, and I know how painful this is on you, too. I wish I could just hug you and walk with you through it to comfort and help you, but I will pray, because I know God can and will. Much love to you both - Nini
