...for the first time today. I've always wanted to as they have blood drives at work but I didn't know how long it would take and I always had work to do...anyway, today was slower than usual so I decided to give blood. I was feeling well up until about the last minute of giving blood, then I became light headed and started coughing. But I gave the full amount and discovered that I need to eat a full meal before doing it again. My mom was diagnosed as anemic last year and had to have a transfusion. So there is a real need out there. It didn't take all that long and I got a free t-shirt.

So glad you were able to give blood. I haven't been able to give for a few years now because I'm anemic. There is such a need though. Hopefully, next time will be a bit smoother for you and you won't get light headed at the end.

One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.

Angie, we discovered you can't give blood if you have even visited the UK. I don't know how long they ban your blood ...

Cindy, glad you got to give blood. You should be proud of yourself!
