Posted - Dec 31 2012 : 6:36:28 PM My son is having side effects from one of his medications and it is dry mouth. Nothing we have tried has helped. I thought I should ask the experts here on MJ since you gals always have ideas and home remedies that work.
Thanks so much,
God bless,

Posted - Jan 01 2013 : 2:25:25 PM Judy, i have the same issue and my dentist recommended Total rinse for dry mouth. No rinses with alcohol. Sugar free gum or sugar free hard candy to keep the saliva levels up a bit.

Posted - Jan 01 2013 : 12:38:06 PM There are toothpastes and rinsed on the market that work well. Or ask your dentist what he recommends. He can give you a prescription toothpaste.
It is not only annoying having dry mouth. It also will cause more bacteria in the mouth that leads to tooth decay. Brush and floss a couple times a day.
But definately see your dentist about this matter.
