Posted - Apr 12 2012 : 1:53:32 PM today was my surgeon appt and we scheduled my lumpectomy for this coming monday 4/16. i will have to stay overnite as he is also doing an ancillary lymph node whatever ya call it....
i chose to have it done this soon instead of waiting til the 30th.
biggest issue i will face is the possibility of lymphedema -which can develop any time after the node surgery- even years down the line--and i have all of my life used my left arm/hand to carry anything including my purse over my shoulder! tho i am right handed i use the left for everything! so i need to retrain my brain!!!!!
about "the job"--i had a shadow session on tuesday and i absolutely loved the people in the department and can easily see myself working there- so i am waiting for "the offer".....having my surgery now gets that outta the way and the dept supervisor is quite flexible about time off for dr appts etc. i really hate waiting for this offer to come- i try to be patient!!!!
so-that's the latest in my life.....
