Posted - Mar 28 2012 : 10:12:56 AM hi sisters! awhile back i was asked to update and i guess it's time again!
this week; i had my final chemo treatment-i thought! it was the final of this round. i am now scheduled to see my surgeon and we will schedule my lumpectomy or mastectomy. i am going toward lumpectomy but we will see.
after that ; i will go back to chemo because of the lymph node involvement. that bums me-it will be a different drug and different side effects....then i will have radiation to my surgical site.
we are still living in this hell hole of an apt and have had some new problems which are just annoying and we are building a case to try to get out of the lease without having to pay the balance of the rent to dec 28th. we'll see.much as i try to make this home and try to accept the place it continues to be an issue in the mental state of both of us.
i am still without a job and this new chemo stuff makes it look less and less promising to get started soon. tho i have not given up!
that's basically life in a nutshell. margo

Posted - Mar 28 2012 : 9:10:56 PM Hang in there, Margo - you can do this! Don't let things get you down. I know it's a bumpy and sometimes dark ride, and you're allowed to cry, be frustrated and get angry - the whole thing stinks! But try to always remember, too, it's only for a time and a season. You'll be back in the swing and feeling fine before you know it - I believe this with all my heart!
We made these great little tea bag angels for a breast cancer event one time. On them hung this little reminder tag:
"A woman is like a teabag - you never know how strong she is until she's in hot water!"
That makes me think of you! :) Stay strong, Margo! I'm praying for you every day, sister!
Much love and warm hugs -
Nini

Posted - Mar 28 2012 : 11:41:25 AM Margo, sending lots of prayers and hugs your way. My sister has breast cancer, a survivor for almost 8 years now, it had spread to her left knee bone, she had a mstectomy, chemo and radiation on her knee. She is doing very well, but the chemo was a rough one. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a cure.
