I know some of you suffer from depression like I do--it seems lately like the meds. I've been taking just aren't working. I feel tired all the time, sometimes sleep for twelve hours a day, and recently I've started having really bizarre dreams. I took today off and called my dr.--can't see him till Thursday--I don't like missing work but I just can't function like this. My head feels....fuzzy. Don't know how else to describe it. I thought it would get better when the weather got nicer, but the weather's been real good and I still feel this way. Would appreciate good thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

I saw my dr. today and he is adding a new med. to my routine. I hope it helps. I work tomorrow and then have the weekend off--yippee! I have little green things sprouting in my garden and that always makes me feel good. Mostly I just need to get back to a regular sleep schedule. Seem to have forgotten what that is :(

We have depression all throughout the family. The most important thing with me is taking care of myself no matter what else is happening. I need to remind myself every day and sometimes every hour that I count and that it is OK to do something good for me. The other day I just took a book outside, without even opening it I sat down it a chair, closed my eyes and just enjoyed being in the sun. I also garden and it really pulls up my spirits to have something to watch evolve from seed to veggies. Find your "thing" and find time to enjoy it. Find a friend that likes the same "thing" and enjoy it with your friend. Do your toenails, do then a funky color just for fun. Just remember that you count and you can do something for yourself, just do it (like the comercials say).

God bless,

Judy

Cindy, Girl i feel so much for you! I also suffer from dpression... I have not been on here for a little while and was just getting on see how many other women where going through the same things i was. And i cam across your post. I am a stay at home mother of 3. 8, 6, and 4. So when i get down in the dumps it's not very nice for any of us. I am blessed to have a understanding husband that helps out a lot when needed. When ever i have the feelings like your having it's usually due to the meds. Just changed mine up a bit, and hope life will get a little brighter.. I have noticed that sometimes the weather will effect me, but when the sun comes out and i am still feeling yucky, it is time to change something. I am not sure about you, but i have been recently hospitalized for my depression... Always a hard thing. But some times it is nessessary for all people involved. My husband usually knows when something is up and tells me when it's time to get some help. All in all i've been in the hospital 4 times over the last 12 years :-(. BUT i can say that i am still here, have not given up! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, though sometimes it seems very dim. I hope you feel better soon, and please mesg me if you would like to talk some more. Hugs my friend! -K.H.

Cindy, I suffered from depression for several years when I was younger (mostly better now). Whenever I hit the point you are at, my doctor ended up adjusting my medication.

Pamper yourself a bit, good luck at the doctor, and you'll be in my prayers.

Cindy,
I hope your doctor has some answers for you. In the meantime, you are in my prayers.
