Posted - Oct 07 2011 : 06:02:29 AM I have been sick for 2 1/2 years and now three docs agree I need to be tested for Lyme Disease. I have read enough to know that it is a long term battle. Would like to pm with someone who has it or has researched the subject. I have many of the symptoms, but know I need a LLMD (literate lyme medical doctor) to help me. For sure, they don't live in my neck of the woods. Anyone been to a LLMD? |

Posted - Oct 11 2011 : 5:03:02 PM Hey not that I have an expert opinion but I hope no one minds that I would jump in here. I only have some experience with ticks. But I know how it feels to be really really sick...and I know how to make it feel better. LEMONADE! Lemon lemon and more lemon. Such an amazing purifier...and if theres anything you need if you get one of those nasty things on you, sucking on you, oh gosh they're so creepy! This is something that will help you, the immune system is primarily the skin but also the eyes nose throat, and they all link to the blood, and in my opinion even tho I know the heart pumps the blood, I think it all goes to the stomach. So the lemonade will liquid clean the body, because of the miracle that it is created to be. The health will be good if the tummy is good. And I am sorry for those who live where the tiny ticks are. I used to and who knows probably thats why I was always sick when I was a kid. Those things breed in the tops of useless trees that grow all over the northeast...I just hate it. I know it sounds violent but if I had a bulldozer I'd take down all those useless tress to clear the air and destroy the habitat of ticks.

Posted - Oct 10 2011 : 5:54:02 PM Here is a whole thread on Lyme Disease. http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=46176 My DD has Chronic Lyme Disease. She was never diagnosed until almoste 3 years after she had it. The link I posted is a whole thread on some other farmgirls and Lyme Disease. My DD finally went to a Lyme Specialist and had a pik line installed for 28 days of a specail anti-biotic that is supposed to help get rid of the Lyme Spirochetes that lie dormant in the brain and organs. She feels 99% better! There is also a documentary about Lyme Disease and the Insurance Companies and the Medical profession. It is called Under Our Skin. Here is a link http://www.underourskin.com/ It is being shown on some PBS stations. It is a real eye-opener. Good luck and if you want to chat you can private message me. I have become somewhat of an expert on Lyme Disease.

Posted - Oct 10 2011 : 4:49:34 PM We live in an area very high for lyme disease. My cousin next door had it and some other people I know have had it as well. I've never heard them talk about a LLMD, just a regular doctor and they are also super healthy people so I guess I don't have too much experience about that. I was on antibiotic for 2 weeks after getting a tick bite then getting a bullseye around it but they think they caught it in time. Either way I think diet can help a lot, with a lot of different things. Hope you can figure out if you for sure have it or not soon!! Best of luck to you and hope you can start feeling better quickly!
