We've juiced our own juice in the past, but not with any regularity. Do any of y'all have a juicer and make your own juice? We've watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" on Netflix, and decided to do a 60 day juice fast. At least, we're shooting for 60 days! It'll be me, my mom, and my dad. While none of us are really unhealthy (other than allergies or stuff like that) or very overwieght (we'd all like to lose some weight, though) we think it'll be good for us to do this, and very beneficial to our health, of course.

So, wish us luck! This isn't going to be easy!

That's a great idea going to farmer's markets and asking for discounts on the ugly stuff!!! I will have to remember that for next year!!! I am really falling in love with juicing, its so much fun! :)

Hi there,

I try to juice everyday...at least start my morning with a green juice of some sort. I can really tell the difference...my fibromyalgia and candida symptoms are gone and I have tons more energy.

I go to farmer's markets and ask for discounts on "ugly" but perfectly good produce so I can save $. To be honest, I always tell myself that it would be more expensive to pay for hospital bills or meds in the future, so I'm trying to be proactive now.

I have tons of recipes if anyone needs one. Happy juicing!

I'm borrowing my Grandma's extra juicer and its a Champion. I love carrot juice and you can really juice anything. Just be careful if you add garlic. A little goes a loooong way!!! Same with Kale. You only need 2-3 leaves for a serving and if you add a slice or two of apple you can really sweeten it if that is what you want (a sweeter juice). Or apple can even hide certain tastes too but that is from what I read so far. I'm new to juicing and I like it :) ok, I love it!

We took the plunge a few years ago and enjoy "real juice" several times a month.

I decided on a Brevill based on other people's opinions and critiques, ease of juicing (no peeling of anything including grapes--but I do recommend peeling turnips).

It sounds like a rocket taking off, but it's the model where you can juice an entire apple. We get a lot of juice output and very dry pulp that we just feed to the chickens.

It comes apart for easy cleaning, but does have many pieces, so unless I'm in the mood to stand at the sink hand clean afterward-I don't use it. It's all dishwasher safe BTW, but I'd rather clean it then and put it away.

It juices so fast though, you'll whip through your produce quicker than it will take to disassemble and clean the thing!

Do your reserach and find a model that will suit your needs.

I have a juicer too I've just never got into it regularly. I guess it would help if I had some "recipes" so that I could make something yummy enough my whole family would drink it. Any ideas?

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

My son 30 who has both diabetes and MS who jogs 2 hours every day juices every day.........I clean the juicer. He is extremely healthy.....I swear its from juicing and jogging 365 days a year.
Juicing is a bit expensive----but your health is everything.

Go for it---and enjoy.
