OK, so technically it is Sunday evening but I may be busy in the am and decided to post this now while I had a moment!

I hope this weekend was good for all of you! I had a great one visiting with my sister and nieces whom I have not seen since last January! I love them to bits!

We tend to eat a lot when we are together, but this time was not so bad! We ordered pizza rather than the usual home made fare---BELIEVE me when I tell ya---that's a lot better!

There was the ice-cream---but oh well--it is summertime...sigh!

So this week i hope to get really moving. My tooth UGH is still killing me but with mega ibuprofen it is tolerable. Nothing like have your bones scraped off to give some nice pain! Well, it keeps me away from certain foods so that's a perk. Also, it makes it so i cannot yell which is good for everyone...bwa hahaha.

Goals:
walk 5-6 days at least 3 miles with a hope of increasing each day.
REALLY focus on what i eat and get a lot more veggies and fruits in
drink more water

So, any plans for you all this week???

No walking today! Thursday is shopping and errand day. I can often squeeze a walk in but I also had the dern dentist again so that took up my morning. At least he put meds in the space that has relieved much of the pain. No dry socket just a difficult extraction.

I ate so-so today! Too much startch, hardly any fruits/veggies. Even though I stayed within my plan, I know I could have made better choices. That often happens with me when I am out and about. Back on track in the am...which is actually now since it just past midnight!

The weekend is just about here...anyone have any plans they may want to think ahead about as far as food goes? We have a small birthday party for my boys but that is manageable. I hope so anyway :0).

Loser clothing is even better than a downward scale :0)...REAL evidence :0).

Went to the fair and did ok---not great, but WAY better than any other year! Ate 2 hot dogs, some cotton candy, and a few sips of the hubby's soda. NOTHING fried---no matter how alluring it was to me! No cheese steak hoagies or ice cream...no chocolate sipped anything or hot pretzels so not only did that save me a bundle of calories, but also a bundle of cash!!!

Hoping today goes well. I would really like to take my 2 younger boys on a bike ride but they may be too tired since they happen to have 3 straight days of crazy fun end of summer running around! We shall see!

Way to go Donna, 5 miles, that is awesome! Walking around at the fair will be good too. I'm off to the gym to walk today after work. Didn't go yesterday, laid off for 1 day, but my eating is still on track.
Slowly but surely, at least my clothes are a bit looser.

Good for you Teri!! Its so hard passing up what we love! Today I soo wanted a bagel so I gutted it and weighed it until it was down to 2 ounces! Made a little French toast with it...1/2a banana and 2 strawberries chopped on top...yummo!

Also did 5 big sweaty miles with WATP...feels good!!!
Hope every one has a great Wednesday!! We are off to the fair tonight.

Doing well, went to the water fitness class last night and that was a real workout, but felt oh so good. Had to go to our local chamber luncheon today and wouldn't you know that had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravey, green beans and salad, and peach cobbler(my fav)....BUT I DID SO GOOD...I simply got a bunch of the salad and some green beans and water. Felt good to actually turn it down, but that cobbler was real tempting.
So I'm really trying....

Congratulations to all who are losing the water weight, good that we can get it out of the way right?
I had errands all day so no exercise for me, tomorrow will make up for it.
Tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, pepper and a littler mozzarella cheese sprinkled with a little olive oil for supper and some fruit. I really enjoy cold dishes for supper in the supper.
Another day we have gotten to, looking forward to tomorrow.

Debbie

Hi Farm Girls! Mind if I join you on your weight loss journey?
terriholland00 Posted - Aug 08 2011 : 12:59:20 PM
I have done pretty well even over the weekend. I weighted this morning and found I lost 5 pounds, of course I'm sure most of it is water, but oh well, it's a start. I've actually had 2 people today say that I looked thinner, WOW, that was a boost. I've just been really concentrating on portion control and eating fresh/frozen veggies, fruits, and protein. I've also started eating breakfast, a couple of scrabbled eggs, 1/2 whole wheat english muffin w/Weight Watcher cream cheese on top and fresh fruit. That keeps me full for a quite a while, but I've tried to have a small snack between meals(fruit/nuts/protein) to help keep me full and not let my blood sugar drop. I"ve also been doing a bit of exercising on the cycle at the gym and water fitness class and some walking in the pool at least 4 days a week. MAINLY I have REALLY tried to NOT eat sugary things and carbs, of course this is all the good yummy stuff, but I do know that my belly fat has decreased a wee bit this week from doing that. So I'm just gonna continue on and not look at this as a diet but as a daily routine that I need to follow as closely as possible.
Over the weekend we went out to eat but I was able to make healthy choices at the restaurants, thank goodness.
I am continuing to take my liquid multivitamin and that has given me mega energy too.
So everyone keep up the good work and if we stumble from time to time, we just get back up, dust ourselves off and take another step!!

I'll be honest, it was a BAD weekend for me. Softball tournament 45 minutes away. Drove over on Friday right after work. Came home that night. Had to be back at 7:15 on Saturday for an 8:00 game, one girl sprained her ankle and we brought her back to our town to the hospital because that is where her mother works, then went back to the tournament for a 6:30 p.m. game. won that one (lost the previous 2), so had to be back at 7:15 Sunday morning for an 8:00 a.m. game (lost) then drove back home again. Lots of eating out, chips and munchies in the car...etc. Time to get back on track! Everybody else looks like they are going good! Super job!

Well I managed to get 4 mile in today and I feel pretty good! A total of 50 minutes...
So that's good. Yay Paula! Portion control and moving...has to be good!

The diet was out the window this weekend, but I stayed very active to hopefully balance it out. I didn't spend 8 hours a day in an office chair, but I did spend a few in the tractor seat mowing the pasture. Lots of walking going from house to barn and back, putting out hay for the horses every day on their track, scooping horse manure, mowing with the walk-behind mower, cleaning out the summer kitchen, laundry, vacuuming, walking dogs - all typical activities around our place. I actually even finally had a few quiet moments to almost get my most recent handbag project complete.

One thing I'm really concentrating on is portion control. I think I'm doing much better at pushing my plate away sooner than I used to. I do think that is making a big difference.

Just weighed in myself and am down 3.4 pounds for this week. I was very excited about that---even though I know it is that weight one always loses the first week :0). Still, I am happy. I would like to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

Welcome Cindy!!! Sorry your weight loss was from being sick! Hopefully you are feeling better and the yoga will keep you on track :0).

Congrats Debbie and hope your blood work is all fine and dandy :0)!

Well, I've lost some weight during the past week, but it's because I've been sick! Not a good way to lose! I'm going to start doing my yoga again and hopefully, by being choosier about what I eat, I won't gain back what I've lost. I want to start walking more, but it's still so darn hot. Plus i'm rather weak from not being able to eat (yesterday's menu was: a little bit of vanilla pudding, a little bit of tomato soup, and a small shake from McD's. I actually had a little solid food today and my stomach seems OK. I just bought the latest issue of Yoga Journal and that's always inspiring.

Had a good weekend as well, met with two farmgirls so that was nice, we did a lot of walking, (shopping) :-)
Tomorrow I go to the doctor to get the results of my blood work, I have lost 5 pounds to date so I hope he will be happy.
Cutting down my portions is hard but I am doing it.
Goals:
Continue to walk this week a bit everyday and swim at least 3 days a week.
Lose at least 1 pound.

Debbie
