Posted - Jul 19 2011 : 2:17:14 PM Check your book that came with your HE washer. Mine has a moveable plastic divider piece that fits into the detergent dispenser one way if you're using liquid detergent and another way if you're using powdered. Also, regarding bleach. I use powdered pool shock which is for swimming pools. I put 1/8 teaspoon in for a load in my HE washer. No more lifting heavy clorox bottles. |

Posted - Jul 05 2011 : 4:58:24 PM Thank you Michele. I was worried about it causing a clog so haven't used any powder. I was really wanting to try to make my own sometime but haven't. Now I'll give it a go!

Posted - Jul 05 2011 : 04:51:27 AM I put it in the soap dispenser. I have not had any problems with it getting clogged. I maybe use an eighth of a cup.

Posted - Jul 04 2011 : 1:16:04 PM I use powdered in my HE and haven't had a problem. I've been using it about 2 years. Also, vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser. Homemade powdered in low sudsing so it won't harm HE machines. |

Posted - Jul 02 2011 : 3:12:41 PM I use the powdered form of my homemade laundry soap and vinegar for the rinse without a problem too. They work just fine. I hope yours will work for your machine.
