I've been outside and in the wind most of my life, whether it's in 3-day eventing, jetskiing, gardening, etc., and I noticed a "bump" on the white of my eyeball. It was itching, and thought it was an ulcer (As I've had an ulcer on my eye before). I called the opthamologist and made an appointment. It had gone down a bit when the appointment came along, and when I went, the doc told me it's a ptgerium. A non-cancerous growth. Well, mine has gone untreated for so long that I may need surgery soon so it doesn't interrupt my eyesight!
The opthamologist said it's caused by being in windy areas, or doing activities out in the sun/wind. Wear sunglasses/sunscreen, hats, etc.!
Farmgirl #2879 :) Starbucks and sushi to green fried tomatoes and corn pudding-I wouldn't change it for the world. www.cattleandcupcakes.blogspot.com
