Posted - Oct 29 2010 : 08:23:26 AM Dedicated to those I don't know, but are tied together with through illness. This is my story with Lyme Disease and how I survived and fight it every day and win!
I'd love to do an interview for an upcoming MJF magazine about my illness and my story if anyone is interested or feel free to use this thread in any article about Lyme.
I can't tell you first off how sad it makes me when I hear someone else has found out they have Lyme disease. It is a disease like no other on the planet. Seriously, it doesn't always end your life, but it makes you sometimes wish it had. Unlike, cancer lyme mutates into other forms of bacteria that diguise themselves as your own cells. Thus, making it next to impossible for any anit-biotic to kill it off. And, the nightmare is that if you don't get the proper drugs that can kill it in the first one to three months you're stuck with it for life.
You have two options when you are past the three month period, go on the roller coaster with chemicals RX drugs that can put in the hospital on deaths door when the Lyme figures out your trying to get rid of it and shuts down one of your vital organs i.e. heart, lungs etc...
Or, go the route I found that acutally saved my life the homeopathic route. Which, if you have an excellent physician, this natural medicine will never put you in the emergency room. I can proudly say I have one of those in my employ. She has patients come to her from all over the U.S. for care. She is that good.
She figured out what most of the other's won't admit. You have to treat your genetics along with all the other illness to give you a fighting chance to live through most of what hits you.
If you or someone you love is suffering with this illness and would like to know more about what I do to fight it, email me.
Hugs, Marsha

Posted - Sep 28 2013 : 08:42:07 AM Diane,
How is your daughter doing with your Lyme disease treatment?
I was watching a show for cancer patients and I thought there should be the same kind of awareness for Lyme sufferers and their families. We go through 'hell' and some die from Lyme also.
When you finish your chemo you ring a bell at the clinic. I want to do the same for those who beat Lyme!!! Some of us have been suffering for years and have to live with it for life.
When I beat Lyme everyone is going to hear my story!!!!
I have been fighting to live for 9 years. It is a daily battle, non-stop. No remissions, just a constant reminder that something is living inside your body that has taken your life away.

Posted - Nov 22 2012 : 7:35:35 PM Marjean, I would be very interested in your Natural Lyme protocol and all new therapies.
Ceftinir and Sporanox for fungus and mold have torn up on digestive system.
I need to find a natural way. I have never done well on mainstream drugs. |

Posted - Nov 22 2012 : 10:45:55 AM I can only treat my Lyme with natural methods and continue to look for new therapies. I came across a study done by a LLMD and am now using his method. I didn't save the search but if any of you with Lyme want to know about it just leave a post here and I'll try to find it again.

Posted - Oct 25 2011 : 03:56:48 AM Sharon, That is exactly the topic in the documentary "Under Our Skin". It is about the Insurance Companies and the AMA taking away doctor's licenses that treat Chronic Lyme patients. One doctor on the East Coast that treated over 6000 children had to move his practice after he went bankrupt from fighting in court. You should see this documentary www.underourskin.com My DD, Shannon is doing great since she went to the specialist and had a 28 day IV.

Posted - Oct 24 2011 : 8:21:12 PM Wow, I can't tell you all how much I can relate to all of the above. I have had the good fortune to work for a physician, as his nurse, who has dedicated his life and practice to treating Lyme patient's. He has been ridiculed by his peers, told his methods of treatment were unconventional, and was run out of town for diagnosing and treating patient's with Lyme disease. I have seen many of his patient's misdiagnosed with other "ailments", including being told by other physicians they were hypochondriacs. He followed the protocol set forth by one of the leading Lyme physicians, which included multiple rounds of oral and IV antibiotics. Many of his patient's had chronic Lyme, however some were diagnosed in time, and with treatment have done well. He sent his blood work to Stoney Brook Lab in New York, where they broke down the bands, in which he was able to determine then how advanced the disease was. He continues to treat patient's with Lyme, however is nolonger in our area, he was forced to move to a different part of the state in order to continue with his practice. Very sad... My hats off to all who are sufferring from this debilitating disease. You are all in my prayers. As are the few physician's who accurately diagnose and treat Lyme.

Posted - Mar 17 2011 : 10:11:18 AM Okay, this is a big deal for me with my Lyme being an auto-immune type illness and reacts to everything that happens to me.
I'm scheduled for oral surgery April 1st! My doctor tested for what anestetic I can have and I hope to goodness the lyme knows it's okay. lol I can't have any reactions and start shaking like a leaf while the doctor is trying to operate on my mouth for goodness sake!!!
That is why I'm focusing on others right now more than ever to keep my mind off myself. See my post about collecting donations for the victim's in Japan and I'm making hats for another farmgirl sending to Mongolia for babies.
My thyroid is hyper and it is effecting my heart and my absortion is in the toilet. Not to mention I have cancer in my blood this time. Can it get any worse??!!!
I'm trying to stay in my happy place and this is one of them. So, please send me your funny stories and humorous things that happen around you house with animals and such!!!! I really need it.

Posted - Dec 26 2010 : 12:18:42 PM HI Diane, Glad to hear she has a good doctor now. What kind of anti-biotic is it? My thoughts for myself are would my poor liver be able to take it or not. I feel like it's a hopeless case with me.
I have so many issues with weight and such that it's scary to do anything that would make the lyme start attcking my body and down the weight goes. I just can't afford to loose anymore right now. Once I get back up to 126 then I might try this route.
I'll talk to my doctor. The one good thing is I can always take the anti-biotic to her and she can test it and know if it will be okay for me or not. So, I'm not a guinea pig waiting for an allergic reaction anymore.
Please give your daughter my regards and I'm praying she can get better with this. If it weren't for God's kingdom promise to bring perfect health very soon, I'd be a mess!

Posted - Dec 23 2010 : 06:30:01 AM Update on my DD, Shannon's Chronic Lyme Disease. I flew down to SC on December 15th to go with Shannon to a specialist on the 16th. The Doctor is a woman and she is from CT, where Lyme was actually first discovered. Finally, a doctor that did not tell us we are crazy! She started her on an IV anti-biotic the next day. She had a PICC line installed and she has to give herself the IV once a day for 28 days. It is supposed to kill the Lyme bacteria that has hidden in her body. I am praying that it will kill off all the little buggers and she can feel like herself again.

Diane, I just wanted to pass along that in that book I suggested it has some really good information about what makes it harder to kill the lyme from diet and vitamins very important for you to read about it. One of the things we have to limit is Vit.D

Posted - Oct 30 2010 : 08:37:52 AM Good Morning My Friends,
Well, Diane I did not realize when you said your daughter went misdiagnosed for three years that it was 15 years ago when it all started. Bless her heart. I know exactly what she is going through. The pain in my legs and trimmers were awful for the first 3 years. I was bitten in my leg. Since, before lyme I had asthma, hypoglycemia, low blood pressure and migranes along with reflux disease, fibromyalgia. So after lyme all of these went off the chart crazy. I would wind up in the emergency room with my blood sugar so low they'd try to give me I-V glucose and nearly put me in a comma. The thyroid is always affected and your adrenals. So that is why she has the hypoglycemia now. She has to get off all sugar immediately. I couldn't even eat potatoes, carrots, etc. for 3 years without an immediate sugar drop and my head felt like it would explode. And, yes Sherry, the lyme makes you have chemical sensitivity because of the liver being attacked and like me I already had allergic rhineitis and asthma. And, my nervous system was damaged beyond repair, so bright lights and noise would send me into a seizure like symptom. So that is why I can't go to the Kingdom Hall. The bright lights, volume, tons of happy talking people and perfumes. Then we just rebuilt our hall due to mold here in Florida and all the new construction materials on top of the other is just impossible for me to be there. I cryed when they announced the rebuild and told the elder coordinator that they wouldn't see me for years until all the off gases go away. In a closed in building it takes years to get rid of it all.
Thank goodness for telephone connection, so I'm there with them each meeting via telephone and they always send love and greetings to us that are home bound. Diane we definelty need to talk and Sherry please have your friends mother call me or email me. There is vital info. that the medicals doctors don't know or do that is a must for us Lyme people. You have to get a neurotransmitter test and get on natural product to replace what the lyme kills in the brain to even come close to thinking straight again. Blue Cross and Blue Shield lab does the testing and makes all the natural products. And, they work fantastic. I went from not being able to spell, add and subtract, crying all the time due to depression and aniexty attacks at night all from the brain being out of balance. To happy, no night attacks, no crying all the time, spelling and adding normally again. It takes years to get it back right but it is worth the wait because you do see improvement along the way. And the tests each year show the numbers getting into the normal range instead of excessively low or high. There phone number for a doctor in your area that uses them is 888-342-7272 www.neuroscienceinc.com
The lyme also attacks your glutithione in the brain that produces what the immune system needs to kill it off. So, I take one of their products that puts back what the lyme took away. Adrenal supports, thyroid support, sleep support all natural and very powerful that works great. I'd ask for a neurologist that uses it in your area and an MD along with her other doctor's that treat the lyme because like I said the other MD's just look at your like you are crazy when you bring in the product and ask them if they do neurotransmitter testing. Been there done that, so I'm speaking from experience.
Thankfully, my homeopathic doctor is a firm believer in the product and the testing. And, I forgot to mention no more migraines in 5 years. I don't take any pain reliever medicine no chemicals pass my lips since the 2005. Yeah! I'm a new woman when it comes to pain and how to get past it. Once you clean out the liver you don't need the pain relievers anymore. I just go to sleep when I get my period with cramps and a hormone headache for an hour and it goes away.
Oh, course I won't lead you to believe the liver won't give you pain while you are detoxing it. It hurt like someone was pouring salt in an open wound for 2 years until I thought I would loose my mind. Then like a switch being turned off it all went away and I've been pain free since.
Wishing you all health and happiness until God's Kingdom brings an end to all this suffering and we live happy healthy lives forever!!!
