Posted - Apr 15 2010 : 5:01:54 PM I love green smoothies too! I have been drinking them ever since I was 9 or 10 and just love them! Here is mine:
2 bananas 2 cups of fruit such as strawberrys, blueberrys, etc when in season. a cup or so of water some type of green such as spinach, kale, dandelions, etc. a little bit of honey and blend all together! After a work out I like to add a few flax seeds and coconut oil. :)

Posted - Apr 15 2010 : 05:22:01 AM I love green smoothies- 1 banana (or handful of other fruit) a handful of spinach, plus a bit of whatever else is on hand (spinach makes the best tasting green drinks in my opinion) water a few ice cubes a tbl. flax seeds a tbl. honey and a tbl. coconut oil Blend and enjoy!
Blessings, Catherine :)

Posted - Apr 12 2010 : 04:17:28 AM I make green smoothies in my Vitamix. Usually whatever frozen fruit I have on hand (strawberries, bananas) a bit of Greek yogurt, wheat germ, flax seed, water & ice. Blend then toss in a few hand fulls of spinach.
I've tried mustard greens, they're too bitter for me. Spinach is so nice & smooth.

Posted - Apr 11 2010 : 3:53:22 PM I use elderberry concentrate. I had it to juices and smoothies. I have not had the flu, yet.

Posted - Apr 10 2010 : 04:49:00 AM I like to start with a banana, it makes it smoother, then whatever frozen fruit I have that I froze from my trees and bushes, then whatever greens I have -kale, spinich, collards etc, then flax oil or chia seeds, blend and done. Jane

Posted - Apr 09 2010 : 8:25:50 PM Elizabeth, Right now there are so many "tonic" herbs that are coming up. Plantain, mints, chickweed, sorrel, fennel, even nettles. I just throw them into the blender with some apple, grapefruit or pineapple juice and whirl out a delicious green drink.
