Posted - Mar 08 2010 : 10:42:36 AM I have a friend who is doing right now. She is having problems with the low calorie intake. Says she's not hungry but the food in the cupboards are calling her name. I would be cautious about the small amount of calories and the hormone shot. You might lose the weight fast but what about the keeping it off? Please do your research before trying this diet. Yoyoing with weight lose and gain can have serious consequences later in life. ![](icons/icon_smile_cool.gif)

Posted - Mar 04 2010 : 8:47:08 PM I know a few gals who have tried it and liked it, but HCG stands for human chorionic gonatatropin. It's a hormone produced by the embryo during pregnancy. Biologically, I can't imagine HOW that helps with weight loss. The folks I know who have tried it also said they were limited to 600 calories or something like that. You'd have to lose weight with that tiny amount of calories, with or without the hormone shot. Just be careful girls and do a lot of research before you subject yourselves to injections of hormones...please :)
