The neti pot works as does warm olive oil
There is also a product that is all natural called "similisan" and it has some kind of analgesic in it to help with the pain.
But I have found olive oil and heat seem to work the best for me. And increase your Vitamin c

Do not put cotton in your ear to keep it warm and keep medicine in. It will create the perfect environment for more ickies to grow. I did this once during a bad round of ear infections and wound up having to have the Dr clean out the stuff that then grew in my ear. Not fun!

I sometimes get earaches from sinus issues and a Neti-Pot works great. I was hesitant to try one until a friend bought me one. I use it every morning (sometimes night time as well). I haven't taken sinus medicine in about a year now after using it regularly (I used to take it at least 2 times a week) :) I hope you will be feeling better soon and get some relief.

And, you can try taking Claritin for about a month- that really helped my ear and sinus problems a couple of years ago.

I don't know that it would help much with the sinuses, but to relieve earaches, I use a little warm olive oil and put a few drops in my ear. It coats it really well, and the warmth helps relieve that "raw" ache feeling.

Hope you start feeling better!

You can get Ocean saline spray for your sinuses. I've never used one, but I've heard this thing called a netti pot where you cleanse your sinuses daily helps. Personally I have a machine that I bought a few years ago that shoots saline up the nose. I don't think they even make them anymore, but boy I couldn't live without mine. I think if you use the Ocean or some other saline product made for that it might help.

Karen,

I had the same problem a few years ago. The doctor told me to use Naphcon A eye drops and a decongestant. I find that Mucinex is really great for chest and head congestion. Just make sure to drink lots of water. Also the doctor told me to eat very few sweets as they make bacteria grow and weaken your immune system...

This really worked for me...

I sure hope this helps and that you are feeling better soon...

Smiles...
