Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 10:46:09 AM Does anyone have any recommendations for organic/body-friendly makeup and nail polish? I stopped wearing makeup a few years ago but miss the occasional eye-liner and red toenail polish :). Thanks for any help! |

Posted - Mar 11 2010 : 8:07:44 PM FeatherHeather, I love Aubrey Organics products for cleansing and moisturizing. Burt's Bee's has great lip products and I especially love MyChelle mineral stick for blush. If you find the right color it will last you so long and can be used on lips and cheeks. My daughters and I are hooked on using ZUZU mascara when we wear mascara. I think you would love it if you decide to wear mascara. Good Luck. I guess you got a little more info than you needed from me but these are my favorite organic products that took me a while to find and maybe this will help someone who reads this.

Posted - Mar 11 2010 : 12:29:11 PM Heather, I highly recommend Aromaleigh. It is a small woman-owned mineral makeup business. I love her products. The forum is really great on her website too. The gals there are super helpful and very friendly. |

Posted - Mar 03 2010 : 3:04:09 PM Hi Heather! I have recently become interested in green/eco products. One that is really good is Burt's Bees. Also Eden Body Works and HoneyBee Gardens are companies that sell all natural products. I hope this helps. Tanna, what is Smashbox? I have never heard of them. God's Blessings, Megan

Posted - Feb 25 2010 : 10:34:20 AM The silk naturals site is fun. I have gotten a free gift with every order too. Every time I go there is something new to play with.
I'll have to look into smashbox too.

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 6:34:38 PM Tanna Their web site looks so fun! I will save it for future refeence. I also use some Smashbox, which is paraban & talc free & has Goji berry & encapsulated water in its formulation. I love its delivery system; it "shaves" off a certain amount & I just find it fun. I have lately been using a combo of Smashbox & Bare Escentuals, & have enough to last until I'm 80, but the silk naturals looks enticing too! |

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 11:45:23 AM I have dry skin and while Bare Escentuals is great it dries me out :( So if you can't use them for any reason I LOVE Silk Naturals: http://host.silknaturals.com/creb/
Silk Naturals is a line of mineral make-up that has silk in it. Silk is a natural humectant so it draws moisture to the skin without oils. You also mix the foundation color your self. Sound hard but really it is sooo simple and you get a perfect match. I love it because when I've been cooped up in the winter or out during the summer I don't have to buy another color. I just add a little white or ebony to change it. It is probably the most versatile make-up I have ever used.
