Hi sisters,
I have started on the Exelon patch..advertised for Dementia. I have "mild" memory problems that sometimes really affects my daily life. Mine is vascular from long term high blood pressure. The blood pressure is getting more and more difficult to manage. One doctor has told me to stop driving..but the other 2 didn't lol I just stay to daylight and try to do familiar routes...of course I still get lost anyway but not ready to stop driving.

Has anyone had or know someone with this new drug??. One doctor said it doesn't work very well and the others say give it a try that it may help and can't hurt.
I have to stay away from Ibuprophin because it could cause bleeding...yuk

What do ya know about this??

Hi Dutchy! One Dr said it would be like watching trees growing...lol so maybe slow...lol but like ya said, it's worth a try. I'm supposed to do new puzzles and crafts that make me learn or think more. Even playing cards...lol
One suggestion he made was to get a pet...so I've got Twiggy.

How are you doing? I haven't heard about your problem that wasn't gout. I was wondering about you.

I have never heard of it, but wish it was around when my mom started her path down Dementia etc.

SO hope you will benefit from this Linda, even if it IS a little bit. Everything that can help slow it down somewhat is good IMO.

Love and hugs
