Does anyone here use Oil of oregano? I have had a nasty virus this week, with chest congestion, and sinus & ear pain/pressure, with lots of coughing & little rest. I had been using Buckley's for the cough & Vicks chest rub.

Yesterday I went to the health food store looking for relief, & they recommended oil of oregano. I bought the capsule form, and took them yesterday. Amazingly already, last night I slept & this morning the congestion seems to be breaking up & my ear doesn't hurt!

I was just wondering if anyone else uses Oil of Oregano--it seems to be applicable to many ailments!

Ingrid, when you say "drop form" do you mean liquid? If so, how did your daughter use it? I know someone who is suffering with a sinus infection, and gets them often, who would LOVE to know how this procedure is applied. She tried the oregano gelcaps (or whatever they're called) but that didn't seem to have much impact, and she got so that she just couldn't tolerate the oregano burps. Sorta like I can't handle fish oil burps -- blech.

I have read in the past that you can apply oregano oil to the bottoms of your feet, but she tried that and for some reason it made her feet numb. They stayed numb for days, so obviously that wasn't the right thing for her.

Did you dilute it and just put the drops directly into her nose or what??

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Oil of oregano is fabulous. Kids and I have been using about a year for colds and things. My daughter had a nasty sinus infection about a week and a half ago and used it every day and the infection went away. We use the drop form. Great stuff!!!

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!
