Posted - Oct 29 2009 : 06:34:54 AM Calling all fellow farmgirl sisters. My best friend is in the hospital with double pneumonia and I am very worried about her. She was supposed to get a shot that is a close relative to penicillin and she was really worried about taking it because she was allergic to penicillin when she was a child. When I do get to talk to her she is so out of breath and seems not to have improved much over the last few days. So maybe if we all prayed for her she will get better.

Posted - Oct 31 2009 : 8:23:20 PM Thank you for your prayers. My friend has been moved to a bigger hospital and is now in the care of a lung specialist. I was told she had a much better night after the shot that worked out fine. She had been calling me herself and now I haven't heard from her in a couple of days. Wondering if she can't because of the cell phone service. Please just keep her in your prayers. I know if all of us Farmgirls keep praying she will be okay.

Posted - Oct 29 2009 : 08:24:15 AM Kids that have penicillin allergys ( which is usually just a hive type rash ), most of the time outgrow it. They can do a scratch test to determine if the allergy still exists. Having pneumonia, penicillin is the best fighter of the family of antibiotics to use. I wish and pray that your friend recovers soon.
