I think I may have figured out what has been causing my hot flashes or hot flash symptoms. I gave up coffee about a month ago. At the same time, my hot flashes disappeared. I thought it was just because I was eating healthier and exercising more. I had one small Dunkichino yesterday, as I had a HORRIBLE migraine and Excedrin wasn't working. Last night and this morning, I had to boughts of hot flashes. Does anyone else experience this??? I don't think I am crazy..well...not yet!!!

I'm having a few power surges again too. I think it is due to stress though. I am really feeling sad and down. These mood swings are awful. I haven't had them for awhile but these past 3 months have been very trying. I'm going to get back to exercising on a regular basis and see if that helps.

I have personal summers also. Hubby is freezing and puts another log on the fire and I'm trying to open the doors and windows to cool things down. Same here, coffee or no too.

hahaha! been there, done that, thank goodness I don't have to go back! lol!
I upped my soy intake, cut back on red meats & coffee and spices which helped.
And an occasional spritz of lavender water sure helped too!
Hang in there Heather,& enjoy those "power suges"....lol!

I read up on hot flashes just recently, and I thought I remembered reading that coffee could trigger them. So can smoking and a few other things. Happily, my hot flash was a flu coming on, but knowing what your flash triggers are might help you through. :) Power surges! And flashes of crazy are a gift, right? :) Like flashes of brilliance? You're just seeing everything for real at those moments. :)

We make a difference.
