OWIE! I just know I have one. I have had two before and they are horrible!

Last time I had one I put off going to the doctor and just managed with Cranberry. By the time I went it had traveled up to my kidneys. Yuck. So I will be going to the doctor tomorrow.

Until then Cranberry and Azo for me!

Thanks Amie. It's coming along. Still in the painful stage bug I have taken two of my antibacterial pills and I am much more comfortable tonight that I was last night!

I'm glad you're all hooked up with meds, Alee. I had a UTI once and it was the worst thing ever. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone! Went to the doctor and got some antibacterial and some urinary pain medicine. I hate how much dye they put into that stuff but I think the antibacterial is already starting to help. It came on fast so I am hoping it goes away just as fast!

aww sorry to hear you are fighting this. I know exactly how painful and comfortable they can be. Keep up the good work with the cranberry and yes! definitely go to the drs. Kidneys are nothing to play with as many of the farmgirl sisters have told me before ;)
Hope it clears up for you soon!!
hugs

My friend swears by taking a few teaspoons of cider vinegar a few times a day. The acidity is supposed to help w/the bacteria. (another good use for acv!) Those are pretty painful. Hope you get to feeling better!

I used to get them a lot but now that I'm 70 percent raw I don't. Yay!!! Yes, cranberry really really helps!! So sorry you got that Alee! I hate the feeling of always having to go to the bathroom! I told my mom one day that I might as well live in there! And I can't sleep at when I had them.. Hope you feel better soon!

I have a herbal supplement that has cranberry and d manose and it is for UTI. The d manose is a magic kick for the cranberry. It is a natural ingredient in aloe but this way they concentrate the levels of d manose.

Thanks Connie- The Cranberry really does work. It's good stuff. I usually don't have a problem with them. I don't know why I got this one. Ugh. I hate them so much. Nothing makes you feel more miserable! My heart goes out to your daughter!

Alee,
My daughter routinely has five or six bad UTI'S per year. Our doctor says she has a kink in one or both of the tubes that goes from the kidneys to the bladder. As a result some bacteria gets in there and multiplies since its trapped in the kink. They now a have a cranberry suppliment available in a capsule at the health food (and Wal-Mart). I have not tried it yet but it may help as a presentative.
