OK, I am a low carber... I do not eat white flour, sugar or white rice, pasta, potatoes etc.. I should be skinny I guess, but I love to have my beers(lite of course) at night when I am cooking & then while I watch a rerun of Leave it To Beaver or I Love Lucy.
But other than that, no carbs go in. No bad ones anyway. Only veggies & fruit.
So tonight, I made a pork tenderloin & had some Yukon Gold potatoes that were rerady to implode, so I cut off the bad stuff & boiled them with skins on, mashed & served with some salt, fresh ground pepper & parsley.
OH my goodness!! THey tasted to me like sweet potatoes with marshmallows & brown sugar! I could not believe how overpowering the sugar taste of the potato was.. I cannot get the taste out of my mouth. I feel like I ate a fudge brownie!
Just not used to carbs I guess..
Very weird!
Tomorrow I will go back to my mashed cauliflower
