Hi ladies,

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. Usually this time of year (with everyone tilling the ground and pollen) my chest gets congested. This also happens in the fall with the woodstove.

Does anyone else deal with this? Any suggestions for relief would be greatly appreciated. I did try Mucinex but I don't think that I am getting the relief I should.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Marly! I didn't even think of Lemon Water acting as a expectorant. I have been using my Neti-pot and that helps keep things at bay. Off to make some Lemon Water :)

Sharon: I had a heavy chest of congestion this past winter. I could not shake it off. This old retired doctor told me to drink lots and lots of water with lemon squeezed into it. And- this sweet old doctor said, "You must blow your nose at least four times a day to get all the bad stuff out". That helped me the most. I hope it helps you. Amazing but it surely worked.

Tamara,

You won't believe how much water I take in every day :) I guess I should probably drink more hot herbal teas in addition. I will have to pick up some Eucalyptus oil and try the steaming thing. Thanks for the tips :)

Ingrid,

Thank you! I just happen to have some Oil of Oregano on hand :) I will definitely be trying that.

Thank you girls for your help :)

Take a drop of oil of oregano every day. Works like a charm.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

hey sharon~ chest congestion is nasty stuff. try drinking TON of fluid ( 19 - 100 oz ) a day. the fluid helps loosen the congestion. i also drink herbal teas. another thing is to heat up a pot of water add some euclyptus oil to it and once the steam gets going stand over the steaming vapors and breathe it in. best of luck!

live well,
Tamara
