After reading the comments on all the uses of coffee filters and then the comments that some girls didn't realize how bad it is to use white, bleached coffee filters.
Please read:
http://www.q19greening.com/2009/04/15/got-bleached-coffee-filters/

it is not just common bleach used to make the filters and alot of whited paper products such a pretty nice white. They use DIOXIN, the most dangerous, toxic chemical on earth (main stuff in AGENT ORANGE!!!).
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE throw them out, buy the brown unbleached, or spring for a permanent filter..
And it costs more but the "Green" paper products cost more, but your cheap white tissues, paper towels and TOILET paper have Dioxins leaching on your skin, too. YUCK.

Are you thinking of DDT. It was banned in 1976 but dioxin should be banned!

Wasn't Dioxin banned? My granddaddy was a crop duster and Dioxin was in some of the sprays he used and I want to say it was banned sometime in the 80's. It seems there were some EPA people who came and got all the sprays he had that contained it. Was it just banned from certain things?
