Posted - Mar 26 2009 : 5:33:00 PM what do you do? Does anyone help you out? Do you get to lay in bed?
I have been sick for a couple of days. I hate being sick because when I am, I get hit HARD and can't do anything. I am able to fight it off for about two weeks, just like I did this time around. Grace and Zoe both got really sick and I managed to keep Degory from getting sick too. It finally hit and hit me hard and I am in bed, beside me are my baby, my laptop, my sketchbook and markers, dipes and wipes, my camera my current knitting project a 1/2 gallon of orange juice on the bedside table, tea, gin gins and my phone. Rob is waiting on me. I have a tough time with that, but I have to let him. If I don't take time to recoup I'll be sick for two weeks. If I let him, I'll only be sick for a few days instead.
It's a good thing the weather is cruddy. It's really suck if it were lovely Spring weather.

Posted - Mar 30 2009 : 3:14:38 PM When I get sick, I go to bed. Even if it means missing work. Your body is screaming at you it wants rest. Usually the next day I am feelign so much bette. Might still be a bit congested or with a runny nose, but the worst part is over. When I don't get to do this, the sickness lingers and lingers. Mothers I believe are notorious for not takign care of themselves. They make their kids go to bed and stay there, but they don't do that themselves and should. The house won't fall apart and you are showing the kids the proper way to take care of oneself. It drives me crazy to see sick people dragging into work or school. Ok rant over. :)
gald you're feeling better.

Posted - Mar 27 2009 : 2:24:13 PM I'm a lot better than I was yesterday, though I am still in bed today. The bright spot was getting my latest MJF purchase in the mail today! YAY! lots of mags to devour as I get well!!
The baby is still young enough that he sleeps quite a bit, so that helps. He nurses and I can lay down to do that, so that is nice.
we are ordering in tonight to eleviate Rob a little from some of my chores, but I am so excited to have gotten my bakeover mix in the mail today, so I am amped to get better so I can cook all weekend! I don't cook when sick so I don't get other people sick, I'm sure y'all understand. I can't wait to be better and get back at things. I have so much to do!!!

Posted - Mar 27 2009 : 1:08:17 PM I don't get sick much, but when I do, I really do. I am the type that wants to be left alone, but when I want something, if my hubby's here, he will get it for me. I usually just stay in bed. I hate being sick and will try everything possible to keep from it. Like taking handfulls of vit. c and echinachia and drink lots of oj. But a few months ago I got the worst sore throat ever. I couldn't even swallow. Neck all swollen and sore. I never did go to the doc ( because I don't like them!) and I finally got over it after several days. My DD had the same thing and ended up at the doc and got the z-pack. Which I have had before and it's a miracle.
I do hope you are better today. And thank the Lord for such a great hubby! And a good baby, too. He sounds so cute. Take advantage of the rest, too.

Posted - Mar 26 2009 : 6:46:25 PM Sorry you are feeling so sick, Tasha! When I am sick, Doug is like Rob which is awesome! It's so nice to be taken care of when you really need it the most. Usually I lie on the couch or in bed and read a lot and drink lots of tea.
