I have got to tell ya'll how much better I have felt since starting the ACV and honey. If ya'll haven't tried it yet, you need to.

If you have indigestion, acid reflux, high blood preasure, diabetes, or esp, alergies and arthritis, it is amazing! It works. I have not had to take a single alergy pill at all. And believe me, I was bad. I took Singulair at night and Alegra in the morning, and it helped a little. I am alergic to everything on this farm, esp. hay but not any food.

Also I used to have really bad heartburn and would belch like a redneck all day.Gaviscon was my friend. Not anymore! Also, if I sat for too long, I could hardly walk. And getting out of bed in the morning was awful! Not now.

I'm telling ya'll, this stuff really does work! It's so easy to do, too.Just 2 tablespoons Acv (and I use Bragg's organic) 1 tablespoon LOCAL honey (for alergies) and 1/8 teaspoon baking soda. It truely is amazing how this really works. Ya'll have got to try it. It says it takes at least 3 weeks to feel any difference, but I started feeling it at least a week into it.

Also, while I was away on my trip, I took it with me, but not to Wash. I was there 2 1/2 days and I was a mess. I could not wait to have some . I was belching again and had the indigestion and I could feel my fingers tightening up. First thing when I got back to my brother's house was fix a drink.

I just had to tell ya'll how good this is and thank whoever posted about it.

Kris

I forgot to say, it's supposed to be a liver detox remedy also. helps get rid of the age spots.

Suzanne, I use a big glass and just put abou a 1/4 cup of hot water to melt the honey. You need the big glass b/c of the baking soda. Watch out!

So, do you mix this up in water or just mix the 3 ingredients? My sister wants to try it...

I can't see where there would be any bad long-term effects. Both are food, after all. It should be no different than eating a salad with vinegar-based salad dressing or putting honey on your biscuits.

ok, please tell me how much of each ingredient do you use to make this once-a-day drink? It sounds interesting... I think I remember reading it years ago on a bottle of natural vinegar from the health food store...

Sherry, it's apple cider vinegar.

Dawn, have you found out if there are any long term effects yet. I'm anxious to know myself now.

I've been drinking ACV for almost two years now. I love the results but am worried about any long term effects. I've tried to look on the internet about it, but the results are rather sketchy. Does anyone know if there is any long term effects?

Well, for some reason my eyes have been itchy the last few days now. I hope I haven't become immune to it already. I'm buying 5 gallons of local honey from a guy in Sale Creek next week. So it will be lots fresher than what I've been using. (I make lots of bread, that's why so much honey. And it's so much cheaper in bulk.)

I have been handling lots of hay lately, too, which I am highly allergic to.

Kris

And yes, I think it is baking soda.

I don't know the science behind it, but I've frequently seen references in older books (fiction, not health guides) that mention someone taking bicarbonate of soda for indigestion. That's just baking soda, right? I think it used to be a common home remedy.

I have to say (not to be a downer, just my experience) that I've used local honey in my tea every day for years and I still have bad allergies. I guess we don't all get lucky that way :(

I think the bs is to neutralize the acidity of the vinegar and also to protect the enamel on your teeth. I did notice a little
difference when I was away and didn't bring the bs. I'm not into science, maybe someone else knows the "why" of it. All I know is it works for me!

I got on the internet to look up how to make ACV and there are a lot of places there. One of them tells alot more about it. Bella something.

I too have started the ACV drink and am seeing results too. Didn't know about the baking soda I wonder what it does. Isn't this the old science class of acid and base.

Once a day. I read somewhere to do it in the morning, but I always seem to do better at night. So either way.

Also forgot to mention that I have so much more energy lately. Don't know if this has anything to do with it or not.

Kris, Do you drink this once a day or more?
kristin sherrill Posted - Nov 10 2008 : 09:13:31 AM
I know. I have told everyone I know so far, I think. It can't hurt to try for a few weeks at least.
