Posted - Oct 16 2008 : 02:26:08 AM Ok I should preface this by saying I am a blonde haired, blue eyed, fair skinned German/Scandinavian who used to bake herself in the sun as a teen trying to get a tan, but to no avail.
I am 50 and have started getting a few rather good sized brown spots on one cheek that are simply to dark to call freckles! Any ideas on how they can be faded? I've tried lemon juice and peroxide. Any other ideas? They really don't cover well with makeup, they are rather dry in texture.

Posted - Oct 25 2008 : 06:37:35 AM Hmmm, I just started getting them on my hands. I'll try that ACV thing, too, just to see what happens. So, what other benefits does it have? And would Italian dressing on my salad count? I love Italian dressing.

Posted - Oct 24 2008 : 5:39:40 PM I am soooooo going to try this. I was looking at all the different lotions/potions at the drug store the other day that said it would help, however, the price sticker stopped me in my tracks from buying any of them.....

Posted - Oct 18 2008 : 12:54:49 PM Dawn, you have just inspired me to get back on the ACV program! But, Jana, if the spots are dry in texture, that would be a warning to me to get them looked at by a dermatologist. If they were just like the age spots that I have on my hands, that look like freckles, that's one thing, but if they're dark and dry, I'd get them looked at. Good luck. Judy

Posted - Oct 17 2008 : 2:52:12 PM Keep up with the ACV Jenny. It will make the spots disappear before you know it. I did quit the ACV for an experiment once and couldn't believe how stiff & sore in the morning I was, the spots came back and I lacked energy. It does work, at least for me!

I am 50 also..but a dark haired darkish skinned part American Indian who also baked myself in the sun as a teen (used baby oil..ugh!!) but it did work..I was just so dark!!! I am very careful now..but still..ick. My mom, who is very light skinned has those spots, but my dad never did when he died at 65 and I take after him more..so I assumed I wouldn't get them. I am trying the ACV for sur. Wisdom kisses. I like that. But who will I tell..the kids will just laugh. I will go tell Mona. She never laughs.

Posted - Oct 16 2008 : 4:25:43 PM Jana, You could think of them as "wisdom kisses". Dawn is right about the ACV, it help detox the liver and that releaves the spots. Some people even call them "liver spots"...I like wisdom kisses. Congrates on being 50, you've reached the age of the wise woman!

Posted - Oct 16 2008 : 09:41:06 AM I am also a blond haired, blue eyed Polish Scandinavian. I had a few spots on my hands, but since I started drinking apple cider vinegar in water, (1 tablespoon ACV in ice cold water twice a day) they vanished. I've been drinking the ACV for almost two years now and it does a lot of good things, this is just one of it's many benefits.
