Yesterday late afternoon was a weird one. First my DD calls from the emergency room at the hospital. She cut her thumb while doing dishes. You know many of us do this, stick our hands in those glasses, well it got her 5 stitches. She celled me a picture and I wanted to hurl.

Then I give her a call while she is getting stitched up, she says she can't talk now, I say WAIT, tell the DR that your 82 yr ol grandma is coming in for some stitch work to. OH MY!!!

Mom was messing around outside and a cinderblock fell on her lower leg, ripped a big hole, 17 stitches on the outside and that many on the inside. She had 6 DR's looking and all of them said OH MY, thats bad. So shots, exrays, the works. The same DR that worked on DD worked on Mom. He even told Mom that DD made $250 on her garage sale Sat. LOL. He has been to Iraq and has seen and Dr many soldiers.

Mom was planning on doctoring it up herself, when sis seen it she almost wanted to hurl so off they went. We caught them on the road heading to the hospital and I went down to check to see if Mom's house was ok and the animals put up. They left the coffee pot on and sure enough on the table what look like a duct tape and ointment. OH MOM.

All turned out good and now its recovery for my two love ones. What a day. And the funny part I was stictchen up my new Farmgirl Sisterhood badge when I got all these calls. So there was a lot of stitchen goin on yesterday I tell ya.

Oh and Mom is barred from outside clean up and DD is getting one of those whatcha call em thingy's to wash glassses with. ahhhhh I think I'll get one too :/

Have a great Farmgirl week

back when I first got married I sliced a glass right in half with my diamond ring! yikes..and yes I cut myself badly, but not bad enough to have to get stitches..so gals..be careful if you do stick your hand in a glass with a wedding or engagement ring on.

My goodness! What an exciting day. I'm glad everyone is ok and safe and sound at home. I think I would rather your kind of stitching than your mom and daughter's though. :)
