Hey Farm Girls!!
Is anyone familiar with www.shepherdsdream.com--home of the wool bed?
A woman that I know in Fort Worth told me that she had one and loved it. She had also purchased some of their other products and was very happy. Said that she has always had wool allergies but had no problems with their products. She said that she thought that it was because they do not use carbolic acid (?) on their wool????

My husband and I were in Peru earlier in the year, and we slept on an amazingly comfortable mattress in a couple of hotels that I believe were these wool ones (I never took apart the bed to see, but it was a heavy batting). It had just the right amount of support, and was wonderful! I'm going to earmark that web site. Good find. |

Thanks for letting us know about this. I just made a quilt with wool batting. It is so much warmer compared to cotton for its thickness. I love wool and live in it fall through spring. I might have to check into the bed too.

Connie,
I made myself a pillow from wool bat and it seems to help with my "sweat head", I need to open it again and a a little more wool. (seems to be getting a little flat)That or just tumble it in the dryer with a shoe!
If I was in the market for a new bed I would really consider a wool bed seriously.
I hear they are warm in the winter and cool in the summer because it breathes.
One thing I have done lately is put my old down comforter under my sheets, (I have a king size bed and queen size comforter).
That's been a nice, reflects the body heat back to me and is squishy!
When we change the sheets we rotate the comforter and shake it out to fluff it.
My husband even enjoys it.

Hey Farm Girls!!!
I will not be buying one any time soon, but I can ask my friend specific questions since she does have one. She said that it was a major expense, but that she just loves it.
I was just wondering if anyone else had had any experiences with the company.

Connie, it looks VERY interesting. Are you going to try it out and give us your review? It's something you'd have to budget for, but I imagine it would be a wonderful investment.
