Ok, I am getting worn down, so I know eating my fruits and vegetables are important and lots of water but what else can I really concentrate on? With school, daycare, household, the whole "moving" thing, and just general everyday stress, what super food should I concentrate on?

I am 99% off caffeine. I only use it when I get a desperately painful headache.

I have been stretching and breathing before bed. B-Vitamin along with a multi every other day.

Suggestions???

I have no lawn so you would just have to do housework...actually just kidding, I wouldn't want to leave because I would want to hang out with all ya'll...ha!!! It's just been a really stressful 4 days and then someone called me to b***h and I was like "Charlie went to the ER, I am beyond tired, he is coughing like a 50 year smoker and I am stressed." and she just kept b***hing...yep..I hung up...

I am going to take a long walk tomorrow and drink a lot of water and eat up the fruit I bought on Friday. I am also fixing up the house a bit to perk me up. I will take all of your information and check it out. Thanks and hugs....

Heather:
I'm worried about you. Start with a good breakfast and remember to have a fruit of some type. Vitamin B's are good for you, too. Someone posted about St. John's Wort and I tell you, it sure made a big difference to me. Wow, I feel super great now. I was a bit sluggish! Drink lots of water, too. My wish to you would be: that ten of us farmgirls could all gather at your place and send you off on a holiday to be pampered. We'd all clean your house, take care of Charlie, take care of the lawn, etc... Do get better feeling soon, Heather. In the mean time, vent away. We are all hear to help you through this. Oh, and smile often; really, that triggers something in your brain to make you feel better. Keep us posted.

I struggle with lack of energy so can sympathize. Nothing worse than to have a whole list of things you need to get done and not having the umph to read the list let alone work on the items. I read an article about CO Q-10 and thought I'd give it a try. I've tried most of the B's to no avail but I'll buy a bottle of whatever and give it a try. This time I believe I can actually tell a difference. I don't feel the need for the afternoon naps most days and just feel better all around. Here's a link to the article if you're interested.

Heather--I mentioned this in a different post, but something that has REALLY helped me lately (as a mom of a 7 month old, and 3 months pregnant) is a multivitamin/mineral+TONS of B vitamins, spirulina and "green" foods, called "Supermom". It is available from www.beeyoutiful.com. I have an immediate energy and mood boost after taking my vitamins, and have felt so much better over all (no more nasuea!). You mentioned you were taking a multivitamin and B vitamins, so maybe this isn't what you're looking for, but if you're looking for something more intense and high-quality, I'd really recommend "Supermom"!

I certainly know how it is to feel totally exhausted and overwhelmed. You're in my thoughts...and I hope you find something that helps you soon!

Anything with the Acai berry. It is a new major superfood (whatever that is)

How much B are you taking? I take a B100s during the school year along with my regular multi, which is an over 50 w/extra antioxidants formul (OK I'm 48 but close enough). I also take echinacea when school is starting. It never seems to fail that I come down with something late Sept/Oct. Kids bring it home, I'm around kids all day, the stress from work/home/running the kids around/outside for my oldest football practice/and so on.... Oh, and I push extra C when I'm feeling down.

I've also started drinking Emergen-C. It's a vitamin C/minerals/other vitamins powder that you add to water. It says add to 4-6oz of water but I just toss it in my water bottle. I like the lighter flavor. There are several flavors, I like the raspberry. My massage therapist hipped me to it and gives it out with a bottle of water after every massage. I picked it up at Walmart. It is a bit pricey (8-9$ a box) but I like it and it gets me to drink more water. There is 1000 mg of vitamin C in a pkt. It says to take 2-4x a day. I don't though. I do try to take it at least once a day. It's pretty refreshing.

Good luck. I hope you feel better.

Heather, I've been taking a superfood called NingXia Red for almost a year and it's made a huge difference in my energy level. It's based mostly on the NingXia Wolfberry, plus some other high quality fruits like blueberries & pomegranates. I was on five different medications this time last year, including arthritis, high blood pressure and allergy meds and I'm off of all of them. If you want more info, please send me your e-mail address.

God bless -

Blueberries are a great superfood. I would also suggest that you make sure that you are getting enough of the Omega-3 fatty acids.
