Posted - May 16 2008 : 4:25:47 PM Okay..still having tests and stuff on my thyroid and hating the doctor visits and nervous not knowing what comes next. I have been referred to an endocrinologist now...not close by..but that is how it is here.... I did find out after my thyroid uptake and scan that there are two nodules (only knew about one of them before that...a quite large one) one on each side, and that they are "cold" nodules. And that the iodine from the scan processed very slow..the number was still very high when they checked it the next day....but besides that I feel like I still don't know any more than I did a month ago. sigh.... My regular doctor gives me the impression that she thinks it is cancer. She is a thyroid cancer survivor herself and the endocrinologist I will be going to is one she has gone to and really likes so I feel good about that at least. I am glad he is on our insurance list thing. Well, at least I feel fine besides being more tired than usual...that is good since I don't have time right now to be sick. If any of you have been through this and can tell me what to expect I would sure like to hear your stories. Sounds like I can expect a fine needle biopsy next. OH>>>my sister is going through the exact same stuff right now..weird.
